The Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s Commercial Office in collaboration with the Association of Panamanian Exporters (APEX) hosted a seminar titled “Strengthening Strategic Alliances: Investment Opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago” on Oct. 30, 2024, in Panama City. The seminar included informational sessions presented to several Panamanian manufacturers in attendance. The country’s exportable offer consists of food and beverage products, paper and paper products, paper publishing and printing, mineral products (non-metallic), products made of metal (not repair), machinery and electrical appliances, other types of transport equipment and furniture. Given that electricity is relatively expensive in Panama and manufacturing processes require a large amount of energy, this seminar provided the opportunity to highlight Trinidad and Tobago’s low electricity costs and various incentives to assist companies with reducing their overhead costs. It also provided a platform to highlight Trinidad and Tobago’s strategic position as a logistics hub for Panamanian companies seeking to expand their operations.
