Any scoop on the new female member of S.W.A.T., and her romantic life outside of work? –Adriana
Devin Gamble (played by Annie Ilonzeh) “comes from a questionable family” that “has done some stuff,” showrunner Andrew Dettmann told me, and as such, some “drama” will unfold as that becomes known to those besides Hondo. There’s no romance on tap for Gamble just yet; instead, expect to get insight into newcomer Alfaro’s “reckless” love life. “He seems to be attracted to chaos in women,” Dettmann teased.
Will Amazon Prime’s Cross be a serialized show or will it be more episodic? –Ivan
I am several episodes into the Aldis Hodge-led James Patterson adaptation (all eight episodes drop Nov. 14), and it is very serialized — with two ongoing mysteries spanning the season.
I recently devoured the first two seasons of Sky Atlantic and AMC’s Gangs of London and need more. Can you tell us when we can expect to see Season 3 Stateside? –Angel
I am hearing that Season 3 should land on AMC during the first half of 2025.
So so worried that they will permanently kill Superman in Superman and Lois. That will break my heart. Love this iteration of the characters and really want the series to end on a hopeful note for the titular characters.
Yeah that worries me too. Bitsie always said that we’re going to cry at the end. Maybe Superman will tell the world his true identity? Everything is better than his death, because then my hope for it to continue somehow, somewhere later is gone forever. And I’d be even more heartbroken.
Maybe he retires as Superman instead and leaves protection of the planet up to John Henry, Natalie & Jordan. Or he could actually pass the torch to Jordan making Jordan the new Superman.
Doubtful they’d go with the retirement angle, since it’s supposed to be something that hasn’t been done before. Smallville’s Superman gave up his powers and retired during the Arrowverse Crisis storyline.
They could do a time jump to show the many descendants of Superman and Lois.
If that does happen, then they better do it differently than Supergirl did it because that Show did it expertly.
Superman did die in BvS. He was resurrected in JL. So, if it’s something that hasn’t happened before…death has technically been done. But, I have long assume Death of Superman was likely where they were heading.
… now Lois on the other hand has not died on screen and she did battle cancer last season.
Actually, Lois has died twice onscreen, but was revived both times. Once in Superman: The Movie in an earthquake after being suffocating by a mudslide and Superman reversed time to save her, and the other time was on Smallville when someone stabbed her and Chloe revived her with healing powers.
Spoiler alert for a nearly 50 year old movie.
Lois did die in the 1978 Superman movie, but she was resurrected after Supes spun the Earth backwards.
Doomsday kills superman, superman comes back to life – that’s the story line told over and over…they’ll do it again.
Yes they’ve clearly told us they’re doing the death of Superman. In other telling of this story he comes back so I wonder if this shows interpretation is that he stays gone but will be an AI in the fortress to guide his sons. :(
I guess 18 is the new 22.
Freshman shows never start with a 22-episode order. But for Ryan Murphy joints, yes, anything post-Glee tends to max out at 18.
Thanks for the scoop on McGee (NCIS). Glad to see that he will be doing more than just computer or family stuff this season
Thanks Matt! Seems my train will soon depart Utrecht Central. Just need to free up the schedule and purchase a ticket!
Thanks Matt. You literally answered my question. So did HM. Their HM+ movie about a search for a missing Nutcracker that aired this past summer has received an early Oct linear airdate. I sort of guess everything there will migrate to linear showings, perhaps as special events, at some point.
.
Anyway, thank you for the answer.
Yeah for McGee getting a case and a political one too. Glad the veteran international team members are getting new stuff I hope this spiritual awakening thing doesn’t make Smitty into a self help guru her snark is one of the things that make the show entertaining. Glad to see Vo and Rain step up with Scott and Jamie gone them taking lead feels right.
I think McGee going down the Deputy Director road will be an interesting track. He certainly needs to grow as the last remaining OG (technically started a recurring character) and growth is great
I love that Aldis Hodge and Noah Wyle are getting to showcase their talent in so many ways, but I worry that we won’t see them on Leverage: Redemption.
Thanks for the NCIS info
Clark going to follow Kara’s example and reveal his identity in the finale?
Thank you for the info about HPI. Recently finished season 3, then spent way too long looking to see if/when season 4 would exist. Should have just gone to the experts!
Thanks for the update on Tim McGee on NCIS, can’t wait for the new season to start! Although he’s been the Acting Director a couple of times and that was great, it would be wonderful to see some movement, ANY movement, upwards.
