Benoit Blanc has another case to crack.
Netflix has revealed that the third installment in Rian Johnson‘s Knives Out trilogy will be titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. An exact release date has not yet been announced, though we do know that the film is due out in 2025.

The plot of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery remains… well, a mystery. Netflix has not released any storyline details as of press time. The film, however, appears to get its title from the U2 song embedded above. The lyrics read as follows:
Jesus
Jesus help me
I’m alone in this world
And a f—ked up world it is too
Tell me
Tell me the story
The one about eternity
And the way it’s all gonna be
Wake up
Wake up dead man
Wake up
Wake up dead manJesus
I’m waiting here boss
I know you’re looking out for us
But maybe your hands aren’t free
Your Father
He made the world in seven
He’s in charge of heaven
Will you put a word in for meWake up
Wake up dead man
Wake up
Wake up dead manListen to your words
They’ll tell you what to do
Listen over the rhythm that’s confusing you
Listen to the reed in the saxophone
Listen over the hum of the radio
Listen over the sounds of blades in rotation
Listen through the traffic and circulation
Listen as hope and peace try to rhyme
Listen over marching bands playing out their timeWake up
Wake up dead man
Wake up
Wake up dead manJesus
Were you just around the corner?
Did you think to try and warn her?
Or are you working on something new?
If there’s and order
In all of this disorder
Is it like a tape recorder?
Can we rewind it just once moreWake up
Wake up dead man
Wake up
Wake up dead manWake up

Wake up dead man

Heck yes! I really enjoyed the first two movies. Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc is a great character.
I’m hyped
Absolutely loved the first one. Thought the second one was dreadful. Fingers crossed for this one🤞🏻.
@ Louisa: I agree with you 100%.
I’ve only seen the second one b/c the first one isn’t available, but it was excellent.
I could not even finish the second one. Don’t understand why most people loved it.
The first one I didn’t have any expectations and loved it. I saw Glase Onion in theaters (during that limited run Thanksgiving weekend) and it was another engaging cast of characters and story…I love this franchise.
.
I don’t know about this third one’s title, sounds a little clunky with “A Knives Out Mystery “, it could do with a less wordy title, but if it’s anything like the last two films it’s gonna be a must watch. I hope they do another limited run in theaters before they release it on Netflix.
They have to do a limited theatrical run if they want to qualify for the Oscars.
Yea I wish they would just drop that! I read an article last year about it and I believe Rian wanted it without but Netflix said no.
I still wish they’d call in a Benoit Blanc Mystery. I get why Knives Out works better for marketing but it makes no sense as a title.
I hope it’s better than the second one. I was disappointed it wasn’t as good as the first.
So obvious from the beginning who did it.
There making a third? The second one wasn’t the greatest. Hopefully they get a better script for the third installment.
I hated the first one and never looked back, lol. I was bored out of my mind.
Woo hoo!
The first one was fantastic, the second movie was boring. Hope the third one is better.
We need to see Daniel Craig and Hugh Grant in the same room this time!
yes, we need Hugh’s character to be back in bigger role!
Hopefully, the third one will go back to being…ya know…good
Kerry Washington? Pass.
Why do you say that about Kerry?
Are there any plans of releasing these on dvd?
1 is on dvd
Renner is most definitely the villain! At least I hope!
