🚀 Excited to share that CyCraft Technology has been selected for the #EMNLP2024 Main Track! 🎉Our data science experts, Sian-Yao Eric Huang and Che-Yu Lin attended the conference to present their work and engage in insightful discussions with NLP experts from around the globe. 🌍 This research addresses a key challenge in the cybersecurity field: the lack of comprehensive datasets due to privacy and regulation concerns. To tackle this, the team introduced CyPHER, the first similar command-line dataset for cybersecurity, featuring 28,520 training pairs and 2,807 test pairs. In addition, they developed CmdCaliper, a command-line embedding model capable of effectively measuring semantic similarity. In this work, we leverage the capabilities of large-scale language models to present CyPHER, the first dataset of similar command lines for cybersecurity, comprising 28,520 training pairs and 2,807 testing pairs. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 (中文在下半部 / Chinese at the bottom) Thrilled to announce that our paper "CmdCaliper: A Semantic-Aware Command-Line Embedding Model and Dataset for Security Research" has been accepted to #EMNLP2024 main track, one of the most prestigious NLP conferences!! In this research, we tackle the challenges posed by the lack of comprehensive datasets due to privacy concerns. We introduce the first dataset of similar command-lines, and present our command-line embedding model, CmdCaliper. Impressively, even the smallest version of CmdCaliper outperforms state-of-the-art models that are ten times larger, across tasks like malicious command-line detection and retrieval. This achievement is the result of a team effort by CyCraft's data science team, including Sian-Yao Eric Huang and Che-Yu Lin.
