Competing alongside his partner, Mathilde from Moveero, Mathias pitched an impressive strategy for the fictional brand “Gorilla Juice” to a panel of industry leaders, earning second place in a field of strong competitors.   The judges praised Mathias and Mathilde for their presentation, which demonstrated not only their logistics expertise but also Mathias' commitment to #teamwork and excellence – qualities he brings to LEMAN every day.   Mathias is a shining example of the drive and ambition we foster at LEMAN. LEMAN Welcomes New CEO René Bach Larsen   We are excited to announce that Rene Bach Larsen will join LEMAN as our new CEO, effective November 1st.   René brings a wealth of experience in the #freightforwarding industry, having held leadership positions at GEODIS across Europe, Asia, and most recently, as Managing Director of North America.   With his extensive international expertise, René will be returning to Denmark to lead #LEMAN into the future, driving our global growth.   René shared his excitement about the new role, saying: "I am very excited to join LEMAN and contribute my international experience to the company’s global growth over the coming years. LEMAN is an ambitious company with important plans on the agenda, and I look forward to being part of that journey. Ongoing US East and Gulf Coast Port #Strike: LEMAN’s Response and Support for Customers The strike affecting ports along the US East and Gulf Coasts continues to cause significant disruption, with 36 major ports from Maine to Texas now closed. This action, which began at midnight on October 1, is due to ongoing disputes over wages and job security between #dockworkers and the United States Maritime Alliance. At #LEMAN, we are closely monitoring the situation and staying in constant dialogue with all relevant stakeholders to ensure we remain informed and proactive. Our priority is to minimize any #disruption to our customers' supply chains, and we are exploring every possible alternative to keep goods moving smoothly during this challenging time. What We’re Doing: • Exploring Alternative #Shipping Solutions: We are actively rerouting shipments through West Coast ports, Canadian ports, and air freight options where possible. • Customer Communication: Our team is working diligently to keep our customers informed with timely updates and providing guidance on navigating these disruptions. • Collaborating with Carriers and Ports: We are in direct communication with carriers, ensuring we can manage surcharges, delays, and potential solutions to mitigate the impact on your operations. A true sunshine story! Our solar cells on the roof of LEMAN in Vestby, Norway were completed in the beginning of 2022. The state-of-the-art solar cell panel system has delivered 126 percent more than estimated, which means we can cover our own consumption and sell electricity to the grid. With the great teamwork from Soleie and Solenergi FUSen AS, we are on the right track, and continue to run our business in a greener and more modern direction.
