This role involves the effective management of residential accommodations, kitchen facilities, canteens, recreation areas, water treatment plants, boreholes, sewage treatment facilities, and offices within the mining camp. The Foreman will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, supporting the overall operational success of the mine. Key Responsibilities: ~Plan, coordinate, and oversee all estate-related projects. ~Oversee maintenance of all facilities and respond to breakdowns and implement preventive maintenance schedules. ~Supervise, train, monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards ~Liaise with other departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to coordinate estate-related activities and ensure seamless operations. ~Prepare and present reports on project progress, maintenance activities, and team performance to the Assistant Engineering Manager. Qualifications: * Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Building, Architectural, Electrical). 3+ years in estate management or construction, preferably in mining. Strong project management and leadership skills. Job Title: Electrical Technician Location: New Luika Gold Mine Reports To: Plant Engineering Supervisor Role Description: This role supports the Plant Engineering Team by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the Process Plant. Key duties include performing preventive maintenance, ensuring electrical infrastructure is reliable and compliant, managing high and low voltage systems efficiently, maintaining safety standards, performing regular servicing, and troubleshooting electrical issues to uphold plant operations. Overall Accountabilities: *Repair and Maintain Equipment: Repair and maintain all electrical equipment and process control systems, adhering to quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations. *Safety and Compliance: Ensure lighting, switches, and electrical equipment are in safe working order, following all safety, occupational health, and environmental policies. *Installation and Upgrades: Install and extend HT and LT electrical infrastructure, including substations, distribution boards, and starter boxes. Install wiring and circuits for underground workstations and extend systems as needed. *Pump and Fan Maintenance: Install and maintain positive displacement cavity pumps, submersible sump pumps, and primary and secondary ventilation fans. *Electrical Systems Management: Perform electrical fitting, high voltage switching, and electronics maintenance, including regular servicing and repairs to 1000V development jumbo drills. *System Connectivity: Maintain communications and telecommunications systems. Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and heaters, and install insulated cables and fittings as needed. *Testing and Calibration: Test circuits, connect systems to power supplies, perform electrical calculations, and undertake high voltage switching. Conduct regular statutory checks to ensure compliance and safe operation. *Planning and Risk Assessment: Read wiring diagrams to plan layouts, conduct risk assessments for non-standard repairs, and ensure all regulations and standards are applied. Qualifications: Education Requirements • Minimum qualification: Full Technical Certificate (FTC)/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrician Apprenticeship • A recognized Trade Certificate in Electrical. • Computer literate with AutoCAD/Microsoft Projects /MS office. • PLC exposure and certificate for Advanced course. *Experience: • Must have completed apprenticeship with 4-7 years of experience as an electrician; 3 years in industrial electrical systems, including experience in HT and LT, preferably 1000V in LT. Role Description This role supports the Process Plant Manager by coordinating shift teams, overseeing plant production, and managing the tailing facility efficiently. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, maintaining high standards, and managing risks. Overall Accountabilities: *Risk Management: Direct the team to minimize significant hazards, focusing on zero Lost Time Injuries using risk assessments and hazard identification. *Technical Aspects: Leverage operational experience and equipment knowledge to meet production goals while adhering to Shanta Gold standards. *Performance Measures: Measure production by tonnage of dry ore processed and ounces of gold produced. Record and review equipment stoppages monthly to adjust plans if needed. Specific Accountabilities: *Safety, Health, and Environment: Ensure safety compliance, conduct daily crew meetings, and manage environmental risks, including spills and waste. *Production: Set daily targets, address breakdowns promptly, monitor performance, and maintain plant parameters. *Cost Management: Optimize reagent use, promote cost efficiency, and suggest cost-saving measures. *Team Management: Develop team skills, manage timekeeping and overtime, recognize performance, and handle behavior issues. *General: Work hands-on with the team to execute the Plant Manager's production plan. Experience: *5+ years in mineral processing, including experience in crushing, elution, grinding, leaching, tailings management, and control room operations. The Clinic Attendant is expected to perform all duties with a commitment to ethical standards and best medical practices.   Key Accountabilities:   • General Clinic cleaning and arrangement. as per the established protocols • Accountable for patients' personal hygiene and assistance. • Attend, register and report observations of the patients at OPD/IPD. patients at the triage or OPD/IPD nursing station accordingly  • Medical Records Management. • Assisting nurses and other medical staff in attending outpatients and admitted patients who need clinical care or are undergoing medical procedures • Keep clinic management informed about problems and issues concerning day-to-day clinic operations. • Serve and protect the SGM clinic by adhering to professional standards, company/facility policies, and procedures. • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Key Accountabilities: Plan, prepare, and coordinate emergency response activities to ensure public safety during disasters or crises.
