This move allows us to extend our advisory and investment services into one of the region’s fastest-growing economies and strategically position us within Kigali International Financial Center. By establishing a presence in Rwanda, Warioba Ventures is primed to support a new wave of emerging African entrepreneurs, providing the critical capital and expertise needed to drive innovation, job creation and economic transformation across the region. In tandem with our Rwanda launch, we are setting the foundation for our first African-focused venture capital fund, dedicated to backing early-stage startups that hold the potential to shape Africa’s next-generation markets. This fund will target high-growth sectors and visionary founders from across East Africa region and some parts of Southern African region, focusing on emerging markets, such as Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Zambia, that are overlooked by traditional investors. Our goal is to fuel scalable solutions that can transcend borders, harnessing the power of young, tech-savvy talent to build the continent’s future industries. Yesterday our Managing Partner Martin Warioba had a chance to moderate “East Africa Investment Opportunities & Funding Trends” panel during East Africa Investment Forum #EAIF2024 hosted by Tanzania Fintech Association (TAFINA).
