INTERNATIONAL PAPER TO BUILD $260M PLANT IN IOWA The new facility will produce corrugated packaging, including cardboard boxes and other materials made from corrugated fiberboard. IP will be plant in Waterloo, Iowa, near the city’s airport. The project is expected to create 90 jobs, according to media reports. The 900,000-square-foot facility will replace the company’s current plant at 800 W. Parker Street, which employs 199 team members. Jürgen Heindl is the founder of Progroup AG, a leading company in the corrugated board and paper industry. Born on January 29, 1955, Heindl has spent over three decades building Progroup into a market leader with a clear vision and innovative approach. Early Life and Career: Heindl grew up on a farm, where he learned the values of hard work, cooperation, and the importance of every individual’s contribution. This background shaped his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to creating a reliable partner for small and medium-sized packaging manufacturers. Founding Progroup: In December 1991, Heindl founded Prowell GmbH, the predecessor to Progroup AG. RECONSTRUCTION DURING ONGOING PRODUCTION FOR DS SMITH IN AUSTRIA “We planned meticulously which modification steps to carry out when. Many project steps happened simultaneously, and it was essential to adhere to the schedule. This careful coordination ensured that the plant’s day-to-day operations continued seamlessly,” says Patrick Baldauf, Site Operational Excellence Lead and Project Manager at DS Smith Packaging Austria.
