Based on our experience, we've found that very few companies have experts dedicated to MLOps jobs. With so many AI-driven products launching almost daily, I wondered — why's that? Especially when MLOps can be extremely necessary in some scenarios: 1. Data scientists and LLM engineers are often getting bogged down with deployment tasks. That’s not really the best way to use their skills and the company's budget, especially since their hourly rates can be pretty high. 2. Unlike static traditional software, AI models are living, learning entities. MLOps can ensure that the models play nice with existing processes after launch in real time. 3. AI models are data-hungry and, thus, resource-intensive. Without proper MLOps, cloud costs can simply skyrocket. 4. Finally, professional MLOps can significantly reduce time and both human effort and human error through automation. Think DevOps, but tailored for AI.
