For the first time in 30 years, Ukraine and Germany have agreed on cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and higher education. 🇺🇦🤝🇩🇪
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education and Science Of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi, and Federal Minister of Education and Research of Germany, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, during a visit by the German delegation to Kyiv.
🔑 Key areas of cooperation include:
- Exchange of experts to implement joint scientific and technical programs.
- Participating in international projects and organizing joint scientific conferences, seminars, and symposia.
- Creation and sharing of research and innovation structures.
- Support for higher education programs and the development of partnerships between universities in both countries.
🤩 Additionally, four Ukrainian-German centers of excellence were launched this year in Lviv, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. These centers focus on developing advanced technologies through collaboration between Ukrainian and German scientists, particularly in biology, quantum physics, historical analysis, and more. They receive approximately EUR 10 million in financial support from Germany.
This cooperation is an opportunity to develop the technologies that Ukraine needs for its restoration and defense. We thank our partners for investing in the innovative potential of both countries.
