Unfortunately, this season we are witnessing that the decrease in production volumes due to drought is not balanced by prices on the global market. This threatens the fragile position of Ukrainian farmers and encourages NIBULON to continue searching for ways to reduce logistics costs. An obvious solution for us is to increase the share of our own transport and help our partners, Ukrainian agricultural producers, reach the global market. One of our heroes, Oleksii Rudenko, a farmer from Mykolaiv region, is not a newcomer to his business. He registered his enterprise, Agro-Pivden, back in 1998 by acquiring an abandoned farm. At that time, the area of the newly established company was 50 hectares, and the first crop planted was fodder wheat. Although Oleksii is an accountant by education, he admits that he found his true calling in agriculture. The farmer is sincerely committed to his work. And this is the only way to success, because if you treat your work with love, it will definitely pay off - the land is grateful and favorable to hardworking hands. The agricultural producer's business has really taken off, and now his farm is a group of enterprises covering 1,850 hectares located in 2 regions (Mykolaiv and Kherson). The geographical location speaks for itself — it is a high-risk area. 👉 “At the beginning of the war, the enemy almost reached one of our farms,” says Oleksii Rudenko. “But we continued to work. Every day, we went to the fields and did everything we could to keep going. It's not just a job - it's food on the table, it's the food security of Ukraine and the world. We never forgot about it for a minute. And thanks to our long-standing partners, we managed to stay afloat financially.” 👉“My first specialty as an accountant has an undeniable advantage – I know how to count and understand the importance of official document flow. That is why I really appreciate the transparent and clear payment terms offered by NIBULON. Unlike many others, the company makes exclusively non-cash transactions, which means that everything is done legally. For us, this is an important and crucial point when it comes to partnership” says Oleksii. NIBULON values its cooperation with each of our agricultural partners and creates conditions to maximize their profits. One of the ways to influence this indicator is to reduce logistics costs, which enables the company to set more favorable purchase prices. NIBULON is supported by international partners such as the USAID. The 50 hopper wagons and 13 grain trailers that USAID provided to NIBULON in 2023-2024 have improved the cost of grain transportation, as the cost of transportation by our own transport is about 20% lower than the services of external operators. Since the transfer of the hopper wagons, they have already transported 126,000 tons of grain and oilseeds, while the grain trailers have transported 55,000 tons. We continue to feed the world by delivering Ukrainian grain to 25 countries.

Про нас
NIBULON is one of the leaders in Ukrainian grain exports and agricultural production with a land bank of over 76,000 hectares. Since 1991, the company has invested USD 2.3 billion in creating an ecosystem of sustainable food security. It includes partnerships with more than 4,500 Ukrainian agricultural producers who together with NIBULON supply high-quality agricultural products to 76 countries worldwide. This ecosystem relies on a digital and logistics infrastructure, which includes a network of 27 elevator complexes, a truck fleet, a rail transportation fleet, as well as 83 vessels of its own fleet built at its own shipyard. This fleet carries out river transportation of goods along the Dnipro, the Danube and the Southern Buh, providing agricultural producers with the most efficient transportation means. During the full-scale invasion, NIBULON has become an inspiring example of resilience and the ability to continue feeding the world with partners despite the risks of war and the loss of 68% of its assets.

✅𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗡𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟲𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀 This figure exceeds last year’s results by 100,000 tons. This once again confirms the effectiveness of sustainable practices and the company’s ability to increase yields and gross grain harvest even in the face of war and weather anomalies☀ 👉“This season, NIBULON has shown positive growth in gross grain harvest compared to previous years, regardless of the challenges,” says Oleg Veselov, NIBULON's Director of Agricultural Production. “We owe this to the organizational changes, the change in the structure of sown areas, production technologies, and a complete rethinking of the work of the company's agricultural sector. Our 14 production branches have been reorganized into four clusters, with a shift from traditional (plow) to conservation tillage technologies (Strip-Till, Mini-till). The structure of sown areas has been completely reorganized: winter crops have been concentrated in the southern cluster, where they have no alternative, and high-yielding corn and soybeans have been cultivated in the central and western clusters. This has allowed us to increase yields, use existing resources more efficiently, and reduce the number of technological operations, which in turn has led to a decrease in fuel consumption and reduction of harmful emissions.” In addition, the modern agricultural machinery purchased this season operates with 30% higher productivity and is monitored through tracking systems. We can now integrate yield data into the Cropwise monitoring system online, respond to changes, and make decisions promptly. The technological operations carried out at the optimum time also, undoubtedly, contribute to the increase in crop productivity. #News_NIBULON

The new gallery has the capacity to load grain onto freight wagons in the volume of one route per day, which will undoubtedly contribute to a more flexible internal logistics system. The company plans to use these capacities to receive cargo from its branches located on the Southern Buh River, which will help to form even more favorable purchase prices for agricultural producers by reducing the cost of internal logistics. #News_NIBULON

It is the way home and to a safe place. It is a source of hope and support for volunteers, military personnel, and healthcare workers. For NIBULON, the railway has become a guarantee that valuable Ukrainian grain, grown with love by our farmers, will be delivered to the world quickly and safely. Our railway is comprised of hundreds of thousands of people who, despite the danger, do everything possible and impossible so that we can receive the notification "The train arrives on schedule". Happy holiday, our indomitable railway workers! Together to victory! 💛💙

Mykhailo Rizak, Director of Government Relations at NIBULON, spoke about the threat of drifting mines from Belarus to the Kyiv HPP, the blocking of the Danube port's external roadway that was opened last year due to mining, and its impact on the Ukrainian grain corridor at the International Sustainability Forum 2024. The speaker emphasized that the company has developed a practical action plan that requires, following the example of land demining, the involvement of various parties: authorities, international partners, and financial institutions. This is necessary to build capacity for the scanning of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the waters and the subsequent underwater demining of the most critical sections of the Dnipro, Southern Bug, and Danube rivers, as well as the Black Sea. 👉“Building public and private capacity for underwater demining should eliminate the threat of the Kyiv HPP exploding, which could have a domino effect along the Dnipro, leading to an environmental disaster. It will also allow the implementation of a technology that has been widely used on the international inland waterway E-40 (Dnipro and Southern Bug rivers)—loading from a river-sea vessel to large Panamax vessels on the Danube, thanks to the protection of the outer roadstead⚓ Its operation will strengthen the potential of an alternative export channel to deep-water Black Sea ports, reduce logistics costs for exports, and improve purchase prices for agricultural producers. In addition, it will help protect the Ukrainian grain corridor from the threat of mines and make its operation more predictable. Today, after 2 years of communication with authorities, financial institutions, and others, we can state that together we have managed to launch the market for agricultural land demining. Now we must find a solution to the problem of underwater demining. Moreover, Ukraine has the production capacity to ensure its implementation. For example, the NIBULON Shipyard has developed a multifunctional platform for the DSNS25 project for underwater demining that fully meets the needs of specialized services. The SES structure alone needs 15 such vessels, which is equivalent to the plant's two-year production program. This project will also help preserve Ukraine's shipbuilding industry. We need to find sources of funding and start acting!” emphasized Михайло Р. NIBULON is ready! We invite you to cooperate! #Experts_NIBULON_Advise

The company is already actively participating in UNDP, UNOPS, and PROZORRO tenders. It will sign contracts for demining in the near future. The certification for the full cycle of land demining, namely detonation, disposal and transportation of explosive ordnance, will enable NIBULON to handle the entire range of issues related to the clearance of territories independently, without involving state services. 👉“We are trying to free up state resources to address other pressing issues and to help farmers and communities return agricultural land to circulation faster. Additionally, we have initiated the issue of forming lots for demining regardless of the farmer's application. With 100% compensation for demining, lots for demining tenders can be combined into single arrays, thus reducing logistical and other organizational costs for the operations. Тogether, the new certification and new approaches to lot formation will help reduce costs and implement the Ministry of Economy's strategy for 100% NTS on the controlled territories of Ukraine in the next 3 years,” comments Михайло Р., NIBULON's Director of Government Relations. ☝This year, the company managed to achieve 100% compensation for demining agricultural land through a constructive dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities, the EBRD and IFC. For Ukraine, this important decision has opened up new horizons for reaching a qualitatively new approach to demining. #News_NIBULON #Important_NIBULON

Its goal was to provide practical knowledge that would help develop innovative solutions, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and productivity of each branch📊 The training was devoted to the topic of solving problems in the A3/PDCA format. PDCA stands for plan-do-check-act. Its goal is gradual improvement within the organization. The participants were introduced to the advantages of this approach, its main stages, effective problem-solving methods, and the common mistakes that may occur at each of the stages, as well as ways to avoid them. Each theoretical part was supported by specific examples from the daily operations of the elevators. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗶 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗶, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: "Despite the challenging working conditions and high competition in the market, NIBULON’s elevators continue to ensure the continuity of grain storage and exports. However, to remain competitive, and to increase the efficiency and productivity of work, we must accept modern challenges, quickly adapt to changes, and be ready to find non-standard solutions. The transformation of our division's operations has already begun. We'll continue to analyze the work of each branch in detail, identify weak points, and work to improve the productivity of each terminal, taking into account its peculiarities, while offering our agricultural producers the most favorable terms of cooperation. Our main priority now is to reduce the cost of services. I believe these issues should be the focus of attention for the managers of our elevators." Mastering the PDCA model is a huge step in the development of Lean thinking. For me as a trainer, it is important that the topic and subject of the discussion resonated with the participants, prompted them to think and discuss, and gave them ideas for further improvements in their workplace. After the training, we don't stop: each branch manager and director will have time to develop their own project using the A3 methodology. The main indicator of successful training will be the results achieved through the projects. We will definitely share the achievements and successes in the continuous improvement of each branch." #News_NIBULON
