✅ On 17 September, the Project to Support the Demographic Strategy of Ukraine was launched This event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the project's objectives, expected results and its importance for the future of Ukraine. 💃🏻 Salsa therapy as part of the second stage of the national campaign ‘Sensitivity overcomes violence. Take a Step’ was held at the city's Palace of Culture. This dance workshop brought together many creative and active residents of Lutsk, for which we thank professional dancers from Cuba - Justo Javier and Iryna Martinez   This masterclass helped the participants to get positive emotions and psychological relief. Residents of the city showed extraordinary engagement and active citizenship   💡 Such a creative format for the end of the regional event is quite interesting for people, because all the children received bright balloons, and the most active participants of the masterclass received branded T-shirts as a gift. This is a regular reminder to people that sensitivity in times of war should be the basis of communication and that in this way we can achieve zero tolerance for violence   We sincerely believe that all participants were motivated to communicate sensitively with their surroundings!   ✅ The project is implemented at the initiative of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Ukraine - UNFPA Ukraine, the Government of Belgium by the NGO ‘UA Experts’ ________________ 💃🏻 Сальса-терапія у межах ІІ етапу національної кампанії «Чуйність перемагає насильство. Цей танцювальний майстер-клас обʼєднав багато креативних та активних мешканців Луцька, за що дякуємо професійним танцівникам з Куби – Хусто Хавʼєру та Ірині Мартінез   Такий майстер-клас допоміг учасникам отримати позитивні емоції та психоллогічне розвантаження. Мешканці міста проявили надвичайну залученість та активну громадянську позицію   💡 Такий креативний формат завершення регіонального заходу є досить цікавим для людей, адже всі дітки отримали яскраві повітряні кульки, а найактивніші учасники майстер-класу — брендовані футболки в подарунок. 🫶🏻 A psychological group session within the second stage of the national campaign ‘Sensitivity overcomes violence. Take a Step’ in Lutsk brought together vulnerable categories of the population and this time took place on 13 September at the VONA Hub   Together with a psychologist from the UNFPA mobile psychosocial support team, the United Nations Population Fund, the participants discussed current issues of difficult communication amid the war in various areas, including between internally displaced persons and local residents   🫂 The participants worked through many problematic communication issues and provided the experts with many recommendations that will be useful in the further development of the video course on sensitive communication   At the end of the therapy, the participants received anti-stress balls that will allow them to relieve stress at the right time and recall the main messages of the Campaign   ✅ The project is implemented at the initiative of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Ukraine - UNFPA Ukraine, the Government of Belgium by the NGO ‘UA Experts’ __________________ 🫶🏻 Психологічне групове заняття в межах ІІ етапу національної кампанії «Чуйність перемагає насильство. ✅ On 13 September, traditional regional events were held in Lutsk as part of the second stage of the national campaign ‘Sensitivity overcomes violence. Take a step’   The Seventh Regional Public Discussion was held together with representatives of the Volyn Regional Administration, heads of social structures of the city, representatives of law enforcement, education, healthcare, and representatives of social structures of all communities in the region joined online   The following speakers took part in the public discussion ‘War and Society: Why it is important to be sensitive now’: ▫️ Serhiy Nizhynskyi Sergiy Nizhynskyi, freelance adviser to the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, head of the NGO ‘UA Experts’; ▫️ Viktor VALCHUK, Advisor to the Minister of Social Policy; ▫️ Iryna CHEBELIUK, Deputy Mayor of Lutsk; ▫️ Oksana NECHYTAILO, expert of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, national coordinator of the NGO ‘UA Experts’   The participants discussed the following issues: 🖇️ how to build communication against the backdrop of war; 🖇️ how to communicate with civilians and the military; 🖇️ how to support bereaved families; 🖇️ how to prevent domestic violence; 🖇️ what initiatives can be taken to help IDP families; 🖇️ how else to help victims of domestic violence   The project is implemented at the initiative of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Ukraine - UNFPA Ukraine, the Government of Belgium by the NGO ‘UA Experts’ ______________ ✅ 13 вересня у Луцьку відбулися традиційні регіональні заходи у межах ІІ етапу національної кампанії «Чуйність перемагає насильство. 🖇️ On 13 September, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic: ‘Ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court - the importance of harmonising national legislation and distinguishing CRSV as an integral part of war crimes’ The event was attended by MPs, representatives of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, ministries, state authorities, academia and NGOs 🙌🏻 Sergiy Nizhynskyi, Advisor to the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Head of the NGO ‘UA Experts’, stressed that it is necessary to provide the fastest possible developments and proposals from the scientific community to the Government to speed up the implementation of the charter today. Snizhana Kushch, Chief National Coordinator of UA Experts, made an introductory speech and welcomed all the participants of the discussion The roundtable consisted of the following panel discussions: 1️⃣ jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in Ukraine under the Rome Statute. The importance of harmonising national legislation; 2️⃣ implementation of the Rome Statute: the need and challenges of distinguishing SNAI as an integral part of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide 💭 ‘CRSV has been invisible for so long in history that we, as a state whose citizens suffer from CRSV, must do everything to ensure that this crime is defined in the Criminal Code and becomes visible in the criminal law system,’ said Albina Basysta, Assistant to the People's Deputy, Lecturer at the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Valeriy Bozhyk, MP, emphasized: ‘The ratification of the Rome Statute opens up opportunities for Ukraine and gives leverage to bring criminals to justice’ ✅ Viktor Bazov, Professor of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, said: ‘The offence of ecocide should be reflected in the Criminal Code’ The event was held with the support of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in partnership with the NGO ‘UA Experts’ #UAExperts #ActingForSurvivors #ResponseAndPrevention 

⚖️ On September 13, the NGO "UA Experts" met with the students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations , organized jointly with the Legal Department of SC IIR of the Student Council of the Institute of International Relations within the framework of the "Fair of Opportunities" project The head of the NGO Sergiy Nizhynskyi spoke about the activities of UA Experts and current projects, as well as shared his own experience and vision of modern young leaders 💡 Students also learned about the UA Experts Leadership Club! Anna Kryzhanivska , the Head of the club and UA Experts expert, spoke about the concept and activities of the club, including the mentoring program for leaders and the events in which the club members participated The meeting ended with a question and answer session, during which students learned more about the conditions for joining the club and about the project activities of the NGO "UA Experts" 🤝🏻 We are pleased to announce that a new set of students is now open for the UA Experts Leadership Club, a unique platform for creating a pool of future European integrators and civil servants! We invite active and ambitious students who see their future in public service to join the club! 🕊️ On 11-12 September, the team of the NGO ‘UA Experts’ met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Ms Pramila Patten Head of NGO ‘UA Experts’ Sergiy Nizhynskyi took part in the meeting of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine - Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna with Pramila Patten 💭 ‘The main weapon that Russians are trying to use against Ukraine is time,’ Olga Stefanishyna emphasised The parties discussed: ▫️ the implementation of the Implementation Plan of the Framework Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the UN,  ▫️ work towards legislative changes to ensure comprehensive support for victims of war-related violence and achieve justice,  ▫️ the implementation of the project on urgent interim reparations, as well as the importance of Ukraine's ratification of the Rome Statute in the context of crimes of the SCC by Russia. 🤝🏻 Experts of the NGO ‘UA Experts’ are members of the interagency working group on the implementation of the implementation plan of the Framework for Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the UN on Preventing and and Countering CRSV On 3 and 4 September, the annual IWG meetings were held to report on the year's achievements and develop plans for the future 💭 The IWG meetings were attended by Sergiy Nizhynskyi, Head of the NGO ‘UA Experts’, Advisor to the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and Snizhana Kushch, Chief National Coordinator of the NGO ‘UA Experts’ In particular, the participants discussed the following issues: ▫️ Activities of UN agencies within the framework of the Interagency Working Group ▫️ Positive examples of interaction and cooperation within the subgroups, challenges and ways to solve them ▫️ Formation of indicators for evaluating the IWG's activities in accordance with the tasks ▫️ Localisation of the implementation plan: regional experience 🖇️ Thus, the current situation with localisation was also reviewed and localisation indicators were developed through the prism of the implementation plan ____________ 🤝🏻 Експерти ГО «UA Experts» є членами міжвідомчої робочої групи щодо реалізації імплементаційного плану з Рамкової програми співробітництва між Урядом України та ООН щодо запобігання та протидії СНПК 3 та 4 вересня відбулися щорічні засідання МРГ для звітувань досягнень за рік та напрацювання планів на майбутнє 💭 У засіданнях МРГ узяли участь Сергій Ніжинський, Голова ГО «UA Experts», радник Віцепрем’єр-міністерки з питань європейської та євроатлантичної інтеграції, та Сніжана Кущ, головна національна координаторка ГО «UA Experts» Зокрема, учасники опрацювали такі питання: ▫️ Діяльність структур ООН у межах роботи Міжвідомчої робочої групи ▫️ Позитивні приклади взаємодії і співпраці в межах підгруп, виклики та шляхи їх вирішення ▫️ Формування індикаторів оцінки діяльності МРГ відповідно до завдань ▫️ Локалізація імплементаційного плану: регіональний досвід 🖇️ Таким чином, також було проведено огляд поточної ситуації з локалізацією та напрацьовано індикатори локалізації через призму імплементаційного плану #UAExperts #ActingForSurvivors #ResponseAndPrevention
