The Day of Engineer Troops is celebrated annually on 3 November ❤️ Engineering reconnaissance, demining the territory before assaults, construction of impregnable defensive engineering and sapper structures on the front line, and pontoon crossings are not a complete list of challenging and important tasks performed by the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They belong to special forces. The engineering troops start the attack, providing the motorized riflemen and tank men with advance. Military engineers drill passages in minefields and enemy fences, clear debris and destruction to ensure the movement of their troops and carry out demining of terrain, buildings, roads, airfields, stations, and streets. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion till 24 October 2024, Russia has committed 664 crimes overall against journalists in Ukraine, according to the Institute of Mass Information. Just several numbers from a total: 91 media workers were killed. 14 — are missing. 29 journalists are imprisoned in Russia. They suffered for freedom of speech and truth! Will Russia be punished for its crimes against freedom of speech in Ukraine? Will those 29 journalists who are imprisoned in Russia return home? Will the world hear the voice of truth and make Russia take responsibility for its criminal actions? We wish we could bring back alive all those brave individuals who were killed while fulfilling their duty — reporting. We wish all the Pulitzer prises could return Ukrainian journalists from Russian jails. Those guilty of these crimes must be held to the strictest punishment. We are grateful to thousands of Ukrainian and international journalists who, risking their own lives, tell the world the truth about the war in Ukraine. We remember the fallen and remind the world of the need to stand up for media rights and take action to bring Russia to justice for its crimes!

One child was killed, and at least 35 people have been injured as a result of an overnight strike on a residential building in Kharkiv. There may still be more victims under the rubble. Work to clear the debris is ongoing. This is yet another example of how Russia is killing Ukrainian civilians.

Every year, Time selects 200 inventions that change the world. The possibility of getting married online in the Ukrainian app Diia was included in the Time Best Inventions 2024 in the Applications and software category. This is the world's first fully digital marriage process. The purpose of its creation was to help Ukrainian couples who are physically separated by Russia's invasion of Ukraine carry on with their lives. More than 1.1 million Ukrainians proposed using the tech in the first month it was available, and 435 couples married in that timeframe. Congratulations to the team who worked on the service 🫶🏻
