Citi has announced a EUR 126 million (UGX640 billion) loan to the Government of the Republic of Uganda to fund the design and build of the Lusalira to Sembabule road project in Uganda. Citi acted as the sole coordinating Mandated Lead Arranger and a lender. The financing was supported by ATIDI - African Trade & Investment Development Insurance and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). For example, mobile subscribers grew 13.3% to 21.6 million customers and service revenue rose by 20.1% to reach a new high of UGX2.3 trillion. Profit after tax grew by a significant 29.6% to reach UGX 459.4 billion!
