🌟 Spotlight on D-Prize & Hope Springs Health Foundation Uganda 🌟 Throwback to an impactful collaboration! Through D-Prize, we proudly supported Hope Springs Health Foundation Uganda, a young organization working in Mayuge district in Uganda. In just one year, they've trained 660 girls (ages 12-14) in their Sugar Daddy Awareness Classes, an innovative school-based program aimed at reducing teen pregnancies and HIV transmission. The proven intervention consists of brief trainings raising awareness on the risks of cross-generational relationships. They were founded last year and are already expanding to include menstrual health, domestic violence, and diabetes programs—tackling community healthcare head-on. D-Prize seeds new organizations that scale proven solutions targeting extreme poverty in low and lower-middle income countries. They identified about a dozen existing poverty interventions that are cost-effective but have persistent access gaps and challenge aspiring local founders to design a new organization that can scale-up access to one of the featured interventions.
