A proudly African school running as a non-profit organisation to support education for Ugandan children.

About us

A Ugandan non-profit school currently seeking charity corporate partnerships. We hope to share our locally owned project and broaden perspectives through meaningful partnerships. Sadhguru School aims to foster a new generation of rural African youth to become changemakers, dedicated to improving the communities and world they inhabit. Students are nurtured to become exuberant, fully rounded individuals who are in harmony with themselves and the world. The majority of our children are from substinence farming families who earn less than $3 a day. These families cannot afford the luxury of improved schooling for their children. At Sadhguru School we offer a balanced and global education to ensure all children have access to the opportunities they deserve. A one of its kind school in East Africa, Sadhguru School supports the mental health and wellbeing of our students through daily yoga. We nourish students with meals twice a day, using only organic, locally sourced ingredients. Our rainwater collection units and solar-powered buildings make us implementers of the global environmental sustainability goals we equip our students to drive forward. Designed and led by Ugandan staff and teachers, Sadhguru School has earned a place of pride in its community. To ensure we make a fundamental difference, we’ve tailored our curriculum to include the vocational skills these children need to thrive in their local environment. We invite contact from companies with ambitions in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Please reach out to allow us to share our stories of working towards SDGs 3, 4, 5 and 12.

Electrochemical Engineering Coop @SiTration| President of Engineers Without Borders NEU | Biogas Project Developer

I am delighted to announce that I have received a PEAK Ascent Research Award for the Fall 2023 semester- a research grant of $1500 to begin the initial lab research phase of a potential clean energy project in Sadhguru School Uganda. This research aims to determine the biochemical methane potential of a specific organic waste substrate using a respirometer sensor method to determine its theoretical methane yield and assess its potential as feedstock for a biodigester. The study will be conducted within the context of a rural Ugandan school by calculating the theoretical methane yield of the school’s organic waste to aid in the technical designing of a biodigester system for the school. Results will contribute to the implementation of a desperately needed clean energy biogas system at the school to replace current unsustainable sources of firewood and diesel generators. I am deeply thankful to the Northeastern Undergraduate Research and Fellowships Office for this award, and my mentor Professor Annalisa Onnis-Hayden for her thorough guidance, support and commitment.
