Next Year (2025), Ssamba Foundation will start the Children Voices Project to give young children a platform of expression and advocate for their rights. The project is focusing on helping children in need. Children Voices Project will be a structured project to give children an opportunity to express their ideas, opinions, and needs to decision makers, community staff or to other children. We will be giving them a chance to speak for themselves rather than speaking on their behalf. This project will be highlighted with the need to ensure that the voices of young children are heard in their schools and communities. Ssamba Foundation’s Uganda sports volunteer project collaborates with local communities to promote healthy lifestyles amongst local children and youth through teaching basic skills and tactics of football (soccer), volleyball, swimming and other sports.

Your volunteer work through our Uganda childcare volunteer project will provide these orphaned and vulnerable children with the attention and mental stimulation that they need to develop healthy social skills and self-confidence.

Ssamba Foundation supports two rural schools catering for orphans and vulnerable children in Mukono, Uganda. With limited staff, resources and facilities, these centers are struggling to provide care, love and support to children. Being hugely understaffed, homes and centres have few learning or extra-curricular activities. Ssamba Foundation through its domestic and international volunteers is able to provide the schools with support and help. These could be in the form of improving the existing facilities, assisting the staff, teaching and helping with the general running and administration of the orphanage/children’s home.
