📢Remember our call on 26th July this year? 💪We stood together demanding an end to "Disco matanga," an event disguised as a cultural celebration, that has tragically turned into scenes of sexual exploitation for our young girls as young as 13 & women in the Eastern districts, especially Busia. ⚖️But today, we're filled with hope! 🌟 Our voices have been heard,the Minister of General Duties, in @Office of the Prime Minister, @Justine Kasule Lumumba has taken bold action by banning disco matanga in Namayingo district. 📌This is not just a win for the girls of Namayingo but a vital step toward protecting all girls & women from exploitation & violence. ♻️We will not rest until every girl can enjoy their youth safely & with dignity. https://lnkd.in/d3VMhYX5
