Airtel Business Presents Miners with Perks for Using The Airtel EcoSystem. Tuesday - Airtel Uganda Enterprise Director, Allan Ssemakula presented leaders and stakeholders in the mining industry with a plethora of advantages when they work with Airtel Uganda as a business partner. This was during a panel discussion at the 13th Mineral Wealth Conference at Kampala Serena Hotel where he was a panelist discussing Digitalization in the Mining Value chain. Mr. Ssemakula, while showcasing how Airtel’s infrastructure will increase profitability, automation, security and bring about environmentally friendly engagements, also shared that Airtel can provide a dedicated network to further enhance business data security. “Airtel can carve out part of our spectrum and build a private 4G or 5G network for you. In this way, you can concentrate on the business of mining. We have invested widely in cyber security and we can avail these services to mining centers.” Mr Allan said In regards to safety and automation, Mr Ssemakula said that as technology advances, automation will enable safer workspaces in mining. “Digitization reduces accidents, improves efficiency and unlocks the 4th Industrial Revolution's potential”. Mr Ronald Kule, from Total Technologies and a fellow panelist, shared how Airtel helps them in the management of the mobile oil rig. He said that Telecoms like Airtel Uganda have introduced 5G, enabling real-time management from miles away. “We've upgraded from 4G to 5G. This enables data transfer from Hoima's Oil Well pad to Kampala's real-time operation center in 70 milliseconds, thanks to Airtel Uganda and other service providers.” Mr Kule said. #MCW2024 manoj murali Allan Ssemakula David Birungi, MCIPR Noela Byuma Collins Hinamundi
