For the past four years Inthikab Ikram has organised our annual Ramadan event, bringing together up to 200 colleagues from across London. Alongside a great team, he’s helped make sure it’s a meaningful and impactful experience for everyone involved. So who better than Inthi to tell you all about it?     “Fundraising is an essential part of our Ramadan event. We introduced it last year, recognising the importance of Zakat, one of the five pillars of Islam that’s particularly significant during Ramadan. Charity and giving back are fundamental throughout this time, so we wanted to align our efforts with a meaningful cause. In 2024 we raised over £30k for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and we’re thrilled we exceeded that figure this year.     Celebrating Ramadan in the workplace is about inclusion, respect and community. It allows colleagues who observe it to feel seen, valued and supported in their faith – while also fostering awareness and understanding among all colleagues. Events like ours help break down barriers, encourage conversations, and strengthen relationships. It’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, share experiences, and learn about the diverse cultures and beliefs that make up our teams.    Having the chance to bring this spirit of togetherness into our work environment through the Ramadan event is incredibly meaningful to me. It shows that regardless of our backgrounds, we all share common values of kindness, generosity and community.” - Inthikab Ikram, Store Manager    We’re very proud to say that as of this week, we’ve raised just over £40k for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
