Why Don’t Schools Teach Kids About Money? 🤔 Financial literacy is one of the most crucial life skills, yet it remains largely overlooked in our education system. While students spend hours mastering academic subjects, many never learn the basics of managing money — a skill they’ll use every day of their lives. 📚💵 🌍 Imagine a world where every child, regardless of their background, has access to financial education. This knowledge could be a game-changer, particularly for children from disadvantaged communities, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and build a secure financial future. 🔓 But right now, financial literacy is often a privilege for those “in the know.” Why is that? Who benefits when our children remain uninformed about money management? 🤷♂️ We believe that every child should have the tools to understand and manage their finances from a young age, preventing them from falling into the trap of debt — a trap that far too many institutions profit from. 💰 That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new Financial Literacy Course for kids aged 8-12.🎉 We've partnered with industry experts to create an engaging, comprehensive program that includes: ✅ Interactive video lessons ✅ Quizzes and fun projects ✅ Real-life financial scenarios This course will help your child master money, make smart decisions, and build a secure future. 🌟 Join the Movement! 🌟 If you’re passionate about empowering the next generation to be financially savvy, click the link below to join our waitlist and enjoy an exclusive 50% discount: https://lnkd.in/eAdgBKT3 Let’s equip our children with the skills that truly matter and prepare them for a financially empowered future. 🚀 #FinancialLiteracy #Education #PersonalFinance #KidsEducation #FutureReady #Empowerment #lifeskillsforkids

21 Skills Hub reposted this
🌟 Re-introducing myself! 🌟 I’m Andrea – a mother to Nia, a proud wife to Nik, and an educator with a passion for fostering creativity and growth in young minds. With over 15 years of experience as a teacher and international school leader, my journey has been one of finding purpose and pursuing a passion for education. I’ve always been drawn to the arts – with a childhood dream of dancing and performing on stage. Yet, like many, I chose the “practical” path, studying law and leaving my creative dreams behind. But life had other plans! I found my true calling in teaching, where I could merge my love for creativity with the transformative power of education. From producing whole-school theatre productions to encouraging young children to pursue their passions, I’ve always believed that education should go beyond academics – it should celebrate individuality and inspire a lifelong love for learning. In today’s fast-paced, ever-changing world, the traditional educational model is struggling to keep up. That’s why I believe in the power of teaching life skills to future-proof our children – giving them the tools they need to thrive in an uncertain future. This belief led me to co-found 21 Skills Hub a platform dedicated to bridging the gap in our children’s development and empowering them with essential life skills. I am deeply committed to inspiring children to follow their dreams and to avoid the mistakes I made by not pursuing mine sooner. Let’s work together to create a future where every child feels empowered to chase their passions and shine in their own unique way. 🌟 What did you dream of becoming when you were a child? I’d love to hear your stories! 👇 #education #lifeskills #teacher #cofounder #startup #femalefounder #GrowthMindset #Empowerment #21SkillsHub #FutureLeaders #Inspiration

Learn more about our founder Nik Pandya's story! #education #lifeskills #edtech #founders
Who is this guy? With all my new connections and having more people asking me for my story, I thought I’d officially introduce myself here: I’m Nik, a proud educator/founder with over 15 years experience internationally. I’m a father, sports nut and guitar student who butchers Beatles songs most evenings. As a teacher, I’ve always believed there’s more to education than academics. It wasn’t long before I turned this belief into a passion by empowering students with useful skills and concepts such as #growthmindset, #mindfulness and #financialliteracy to name a few. As most teachers will tell you, there isn't much time to teach beyond academics at school, however I made a concerted effort to teach these skills at every opportunity throughout the school day - think morning registration, end of lesson plenaries, school trips and even playground duties. If there was a few minutes to spare, I was teaching a skill. Then I moved to Barcelona with my wife, Andrea Stylianou (also my co-founder). We invested in a school and I became a director. Why does this matter? Well it gave me the freedom (within reason) to devise a modern life skills curriculum. It gave me the breathing space to teach life skills in a creative, engaging and challenging way. The results changed the way we viewed #education forever…they were as follows: 📈More positive and engaged children 💪Greater neurodivergent inclusivity and empowerment 🌎The creation of active global citizens 🗞Critical thinkers especially regarding the media and misinformation 🧠More resilience through a healthy acceptance of challenge ⚽ ️Impactful collaborations with UNICEF UK/Spain as well as having our student enterprise campaigns being featured in SoccerAid 2018 by ITV (that was surreal!) We didn't realize at the time but we were creating something special and more importantly, necessary in order to future-proof our children… Stay tuned for part 2 on how we turned our vision into reality with the creation of 21 Skills Hub, a platform revolutionising education for children and young people. #founders #entrepreneurship #education #edtech #startups #lifeskills #childdevelopment

As educators, we often wear multiple hats, from mentors to motivators, and even counselors. But behind the bright classroom smiles lies a stark reality: the mental health crisis among teachers is reaching alarming levels, impacting not just individuals but our entire educational landscape. This article in The Independent is heartbreaking 💔 shedding light on teachers experiencing panic attacks in classrooms and grappling with exhausting 60-hour workweeks. "A November study by the mental health charity Education Support found that teacher wellbeing is at a five-year low, with stress, insomnia and burnout all rising. In 2017, 67% of schoolteachers were reporting feelings of stress – by 2023, that figure had risen starkly to 78%." But amidst this crisis, there lies an opportunity for meaningful change. It's imperative for schools, policymakers, and communities to come together and prioritize the well-being of our educators. Beyond individual efforts, systemic change is needed to address the root causes of teacher stress. What are your feelings on this? What changes do you think need to happen? #wellbeing #teachers #parents #children #schools #education https://lnkd.in/ec3s4j2J
