ABPCO is the leading UK membership organisation for professional conference and event organisers working in-house and for agencies across the corporate, public, association and other not-for-profit sectors. Selected following the demonstration of experience and on peer assessment, membership gives individual organisers unique credibility amongst clients, suppliers and competitors alike. ABPCO offers opportunities for personal and organisation training, business lead generation through our online RFP system and industry networking, marketing and PR opportunities and the chance to share challenges and experiences with like-minded colleagues. Corporate Membership is open to industry supply and support organisations and Entry Level Membership to those studying for or pursuing a career in conference and event management. ABPCO ECONOMIC IMPACT REPORT 2023 - INDUSTRY SECTORS In January of this year ABPCO (Association of British Professional Conference Organisers) released a survey entitled the ABPCO Economic Impact Report, aimed at all those delivering events in the Association and NFP events sector. The results, which focus on 2023, offer some very positive insights into the value and influence of another side of the event industry. We are now re-sharing the 10 key highlights from the 2023 report as a prelude to the launch of the 2024 survey in January 2025. Industry Sectors In 2023 ABPCO members have delivered events to a range of significant industry sectors: 🔆 34% health sciences and med tech 🔆 20% science, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics 🔆 17% professional services, finance, and tech 🔆 14% government Our members support and connect with significant industries regionally, nationally and internationally. Our collective influence supports economic growth strategies that are integral to a diverse and integrated population, particularly in digital technology, low carbon innovation, health and life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and creative industries. The scale and scope of ABPCO members is nationally important - bringing in international networks, reinvigorating business, leisure and not for profit relations and promoting all regions of the UK. Our members continue to represent Britain - working alongside international associations, representing global networks and selling the best of British professionalism.
