Thank you to Alom railway engineering & supply for organising our recent trip to ASSET Rail in the Netherlands. It was a short trip, but Hayley Carter successfully trained the ASSET Rail team in the use of the ABT7000 Cyclic Top Trolley, working alongside their tamping machine. The ABT7000 was used to identify track defects, with recommended lift data being manually entered into the tamping machine to provide quick an easy maintenance.
A few days ago we posted a photo from a 1950's Rail Directory showing our voidmeter. We also found this one for the 'Abtus Track Liners' which are an earlier version of our current ABT4060 Sighting Boards. https://lnkd.in/eq8fDNay We don't believe a business suit is suitable attire for track inspections in 2024, but the Abtus product range certainly is! Walking round the factory today we stumbled upon an old copy of a Rail Directory from 1955-56! 69 years on, we still manufacture and supply rail measurement products around the world and of the products listed in the directory, the Voidmeter is something we still regularly sell. Here's the first batch of ABT4081 S&C Dynamic Track Spread Gauges heading out of the Abtus factory to our customer Network Rail. The ABT4081 received full product approval earlier in 2024 and was designed specifically to help identify track spread issues in railway switches, where other measurement products were impossible to fit.
