A new episode of the Sigma Sports Cafe Ride is now live with WHAM! popstar Andrew Ridgeley. Join Matt as he heads down to Cornwall for this very special instalment. Watch as the pair take a quick stop at a local record shop, before they embark on Andrew’s gruelling route with plenty of hills to test the legs. With stops for selfies along the beautiful Cornish coastline, a beachside coffee stop and fish and chips by the harbour wall, this could well be the perfect Cornish training ride. A special thank you goes out to ABUS Security Tech Germany, Castelli Cycling, ENVE Composites and Saddleback Ltd who assisted with the production of this episode. As part of our 100th year celebrations this year, many of our employees entered a prize draw in July to win trips to countries where there is an ABUS group company. Today we were very grateful for the opportunity to host Lucy and her partner Adrian at our new premises in Portishead, Bristol. Lucy and Adrian, from Pfaffenhein in Germany are spending a few days visiting the UK, spending time in Bristol and also London. A great initiative to bring our colleagues together!

This weekend we hosted the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) Western Regions Training Weekend as well as the associations AGM. The event had a fantastic turnout with a large number of locksmiths attending and got to see our product offerings and our new HQ, showroom and warehouse in the UK. And we were blessed with fantastic weather which made the BBQ we put on for our guests a great success.

Managing Director of the Master Locksmiths Association and Sold Secure

Wow, what an amazing weekend at the MLA Western Region event. Amazing hospitality courtesy of ABUS UK & Ireland - a massive thanks to Peter Romanov and his team. A huge thanks and well done to Western Region officials David Small, Clive Stone, Paul Watts and Jon Drake, and to Sandra Watts for the time and effort put in. You should be proud of what what’s been achieved. An enourmus thanks to all presenters/trainers/exhibitors including Jon Drake,3D Group UK, Andy Tristram, Brian James, ALS Lock Tools and Joanne Milne-Rowe from Codelocks (with more training tomorrow courtesy of Chris Taylor), and of course to all those #Locksmiths took the time to attend. A great event, excellent training, great networking opportunities and of course the socialising side (the importance of which for locksmiths can’t be understated in what can at times be a lonely profession), an amazing lunch - there was a real positive buzz - and the weather was even on our side for a change! Another great benefit for Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) members! Role on the next one!
