  • 🚨 Are your healthcare workers at risk from fraudulent umbrella companies? Non-compliant umbrella companies have impacted more than 275,000 workers, some facing unexpected tax bills and financial losses. Could some of your flexible workforce be next? Fraudulent payroll schemes may promise higher take-home pay, but they expose workers to significant risks: ❌ Unpaid tax and National Insurance liabilities ❌ HMRC penalties and backdated payments ❌ Reputational, financial and legal consequences At Acacium Group, we prioritise compliance, only partnering with accredited, audited umbrella companies to protect healthcare professionals. ✅Learn more about the risks posed by non-compliant umbrella companies:https://lnkd.in/e8miM3ug #WorkforceProtection #PayrollCompliance #UmbrellaCompanies #TaxRisk

To mark International Women's Day, IHPN are shining a light on some of the fantastic female leaders working across the independent healthcare sector who share their experiences, advice and what #IWD2025 means to them. Eleanor Norman is Head of Growth & Service Development at Acacium Group: "As a mental health nurse and leader in neurodevelopmental services at Acacium Group, International Women’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the action still needed to achieve true gender equality. This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, resonates with me, not only in advocating for women in healthcare but also in ensuring that neuro-developmental services continue to evolve to meet the needs of those we support. "Working in the independent healthcare sector has allowed me to drive change in so many ways, particularly in expanding access to high-quality, patient-centred care. However, challenges remain, whether it’s tackling gender disparities in leadership, ensuring neurodivergent voices are heard, or breaking down barriers for women pursuing careers in mental health. Representation and inclusion should be embedded in everything we do. "Women in healthcare should be encouraged to embrace opportunities for growth, challenge the status quo, and support each other. Leadership isn’t about fitting into outdated moulds; it’s about using our unique experiences to shape better, more inclusive services"

To mark International Women's Day, IHPN are shining a light on some of the fantastic female leaders working across the independent healthcare sector who share their experiences, advice and what #IWD2025 means to them Nicola Ellis-Webb is Healthcare Services Director at Acacium Group: "International Women's Day is a time to celebrate women's contributions across industries, but also to reflect on persistent challenges. In the UK healthcare sector—where women make up 77% of the workforce—they remain underrepresented at the highest levels. For Black and Brown women, the barriers are even greater. "Reflecting on my own leadership journey, I’ve been fortunate to have a strong support network. As a nurse, I initially believed my background limited my leadership prospects. Yet, it became my greatest asset, shaping my path to senior clinical, strategic and operational leadership roles. Transitioning beyond clinical leadership required courage, mentorship, and a willingness to step outside my comfort zone. "The lesson? Don’t disqualify yourself from leadership. Diverse backgrounds enrich decision-making and drive better outcomes. Senior leadership isn’t about having a perfect trajectory—it’s about resilience. The most valuable advice I can offer is this: no one reaches senior leadership without setbacks. We learn through experience. Fail fast, forgive yourself, learn, and move forward. "Most importantly, as you rise, lift others with you. Representation matters, and the next generation of leaders depends on those who break barriers today."
