About us

Academy Achievers is a not for profit organisation, leading in STEM | Web 3 related activities. Working with vulnerable, disaffected, disadvantage children and young people ages 5-19, from hard to reach communities. Activities: Ages 2-4 Early Years STEAM Music are fun and interactive music sessions for parents and toddlers. Children will learn and sing new songs, play a range of instruments from their music set, participate in music games, dance around and unlock their creative skills with exciting activities and mini STEAM projects. These pre-recorded sessions will take place online in our google Early Years STEAM Music classroom. Junior coding club 5-7 years Ages - 5-7 | Saturdays |10 - 11 am |online | 1-2-1 or Group sessions Junior coding clubs are engaging coding sessions for young people. Young people will learn how to code using platforms such as Scratch. As part of the Junior coding club young people will be able to think creatively, work collaboratively and share interactive media such as stories, games and animation. Virtual Steam Camp Ages 8 - 10 | Mon-Fri (Holiday Term) |S1. 10 am-12 pm | S2. 2:30-4:30 pm | Live | Pre-recorded Unlock your creative minds and register for our virtual steam Camps this holiday. Get involved in our exciting science, tech, engineering, art and maths activities. Unleash your creative skills and join in the fun making spaghetti bridges, colourful slime, balloon powered cars and much more #BeMeDIgitialinclusion = 14-25 Year olds The #BeMedigitalinclusion program aims: To raise one million global majority women and girls aspirations in STEM | Web 3 related careers. Equip your young women for the future of Tech career paths. Join us in closing the digital skills gap, by signing up your school to our twelve weeks mentoring program. Young women will have group sessions with mentors from Tech industries. Topics will include: Growth Mindset | Confidence building | Career Guidance, and more.

    Empowering the Future: #BeMeDigitalinclusion's Summer Work Experience We are thrilled to announce that today, our post-16 students will embark on their face-to-face Summer Work Experience 2024 at #Ciena. This hands-on opportunity is a cornerstone of the #BeMeDigitalInclusion program, designed to equip young people with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the digital age. Looking ahead, our Year 10 students can look forward to their virtual #BeMedigitalinclusion Work Experience in the spring 2025. This early exposure to the tech industry is crucial in sparking interest and building foundational skills to serve them throughout their academic and professional journeys. The team is hard at work organizing the #BeMeDigitalinclusion Sustainable Tech event, scheduled for October Friday, 11, 2024. This event promises to be a dynamic platform for showcasing innovative technologies and sustainable practices.     Since January 2024, we have had the privilege of collaborating with over 100 schools across England. Our dedicated team of #BeMeDigitalInclusion staff, Ambassadors, volunteers, mentors, and alumni have worked tirelessly to deliver innovative programs aimed at closing the digital skills gap, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. Three Key Impacts of the #BeMeDigitalinclusion Program: 1. We have significantly improved digital literacy among our participants, equipping them with essential tech skills that are crucial for their educational and professional journeys. 2. Has fostered a sense of confidence and empowerment among Black women and girls, encouraging them to pursue careers in tech and STEM fields. 3. Has created a supportive community, we have enabled #BeMe participants to build meaningful connections and networks that support their continued growth and success. What’s Next for #BeMeDigitalinclusion: We are excited to announce the next phases of our program, which include providing work experience, internships, and apprenticeship opportunities. These initiatives are designed to give participants hands-on experience and practical knowledge, helping them to transition smoothly into the tech industry. In October 2024, we will be hosting the #BeMeDigitalInclusion Sustainable Tech Event. This event will focus on sustainable technology practices, bringing together thought leaders, industry experts, and our community to explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future.     On Monday, the #BeMedigitalinclusion team participated in the SciTech Expo, in the Midlands and it was a profound experience. The Problem we identified from our research and interactions revealed a concerning trend. 100% of the young attendees did not fully understand what STEM was. Teachers, though aware, expressed worries about keeping up with the rapid pace of technological change. Most troublingly, global majority girls showed little interest in STEM, attending merely for the experience. Three concerns highlighted: 1. Most youths are unaware of the myriad opportunities within STEM fields. 2. Educators are struggling to keep pace with evolving technology, impacting their ability to teach effectively. 3. Without intervention, global majority girls will continue to miss out on critical STEM opportunities, widening the digital skills gap. Importance of #BeMeDigitalInclusion Solution. #BeMeDigitalInclusion is not just a program; it’s a lifeline. By providing engaging activities like our AI Career game, we demystify STEM and make it accessible and appealing. We equip teachers with the tools they need to inspire and educate effectively. Most importantly, we show young women from the global majority that they belong in STEM and can thrive in these fields. Three Positive Takeaways: 1. Through our initiatives, students and teachers left with a much clearer understanding of STEM 2. The hands-on activities sparked genuine interest and excitement among participants, showing that STEM can be fun and accessible. 4. We are creating role models who will inspire future generations to pursue STEM careers. If we don’t act now, the challenges will only grow. But with continued focus and effort, we can close the digital skills gap and ensure a more inclusive and innovative future. #STEM #BeMeDigitalInclusion #BeMe #SheDISRUPTS
