50 years and still top of the class with no end in sight. A great article highlighting the attributes from the US Army UTTAS program for which the #UH60 #Blackhawk was chosen as the winner. First flight was 50 years ago today. With remanufacture and modernisation defined by user requirements for all #missions, the #AceHawk #ML70 sets the benchmark for another 50 years. #army #proven #capability https://lnkd.in/eA2HNyCE

It’s #SOFWeek in #Tampa and amid the flurry of activity the #USArmy confirms the #specialops #Blackhawk will continue to provide invaluable service with the #160thSOAR well into the 2050’s. That’s another 30 years of #development and #proven #capability. The #AceHawk #ML70 upgrade and remanufacture program offers unrivalled commercial off the shelf #mission systems options to fulfil all required #military roles as well as aerial #firefighting and #rescue. For the #martitime environment and #naval roles our #ML70B builds on the provenance of the #Seahawk to deliver a class leading solution with #ASW and #ASUW systems #ITAR free. Latest T701/401 engines and a full rebuild for 20,000 hours of life to give to the #USCG, industry and the community as a #maritime #rescue #helicopter. This is why #remanufacturing works. Well done again to Aaron Johnson Johnson and the team at Affordable Engineering Services team for once again raising the bar. The #AceHawk #ML70B will mirror this process adding #mission systems to deliver a formidable #naval #ASW and #ASuW platform for all required roles.
Here's a little mid-week pick-me-up for everyone! This old dog learned a new trick! showing his teeth, tail straightened, and absolutely FLEXING his new blades! I know this isn't excited for anyone who flew these birds in the Navy, but 6055 represents the first MH-6OT from the USCG Aviation Logistics Center to be built from the ground up with blade fold / tail fold capability (we retrofitted 6002 for cutter hangar space verification) and he is ready for his first taste of jet fuel in almost 20 years. Ground turns are scheduled to start early next week and the artisans from Affordable Engineering Services and Credence Management Solutions, LLC have done an amazing job! This big dog can't help but show off his new trick and it stops everyone in their tracks when he does. He'll be impossible once he lights off those brand new T-700's and we let him off the leash! #uscg #alc #sikorsky #lockheedmartin #ge #mh60t #renascentiamachina #bigiron #morethanmeetstheeye

#Proven #capability still needs the #human making the decisions and control inputs. At least for now. With your #team in the #AceHawk #ML70 remanufactured #BlackHawk, backed up by #NATO training standards, enhanced #mission effectiveness and success draw nearer. It works perfectly alongside the #AH64 also. https://lnkd.in/ejnAeCtq

The remanufacturing masterclass continues. Well done Aaron Johnson and the Affordable Engineering Services team. Once again a modified and upgraded #maritime #rescue platform just like the #AceHawk #ML70B. #proven #capability
Happy Friday everyone! I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the family, the MH-60T 6055. He's a little self-conscious right now without his main rotor blades installed so he tucked his tail (I know, right!?) and curled up in the corner of the hangar. All kidding aside, this beast started life as a US Navy HH-60 that served proudly with HS-4 and was sent to AMARG for retirement. He had definitely seen a lot of action but our amazing Affordable Engineering Services artisans and civil service personnel at the Aviation Logistics Center painstakingly resurrected this monster with every upgrade and modification the USCG has to offer (including tail fold & blade fold capability for cutter deployment). He will proudly be starting his second career as the first MH-6OT to be stationed at the new USCG Air Station in Point Mugu, California! We can't wait to let this big dog off his chain to darken the skies and stand the watch. Magnum Ferrum!!! #uscg #alc #sikorsky #mh60t #artisans #mechanicalartwork #bigiron #lifesavingchariot #ilovemyjob

Can’t keep a good hog down! The #USAF are upgrading the #A10 #Warthog to maintain interoperability with partners. This aircraft still punches very much above it’s weight as a close air support weapon. First flight over 50 years ago in 1972 and no replacement in sight. Just like the #AceHawk #ML70 remanufactured #UH60 #Blackhawk, the A-10C is the benchmark in it’s field and receiving such upgrades as modern #mission systems and #avionics. This is #proven #capability. https://lnkd.in/eSFDZ7Ta

40 years of #proven #capability. The #Apache remains the #gunship of choice with over 5000 delivered and 1.3 millions flight hours in operations. And being rebuilt as latest #AH64E models for users such as Australia, Netherlands and U.K. The #Blackhawk can surpass these numbers but is a multirole airframe. With weaponisation, the #AceHawk #ML70 offers latest #mission systems and technology including avionics upgrades along with integrated sustainment for the perfect #combat all-rounder. Operating together they make a formidable #team. https://lnkd.in/eUN8ytwc

In case you missed it #CNBC Morgan L Brennan discussing what lies ahead for #Sikorsky and #LockheedMartin on CNBC Overtime. She also got flown in a remanufactured early A model airframe from 1979 now used for the #DARPA #unmanned test and evaluation program. Crucially discussed is the 3-5 year backlog for the #UH60M / #S70M highlighting the #proven #capability and popularity of the #BlackHawk. But don’t worry, if you cannot wait that long, afford the price tag or prefer more modern #avionics and #ITAR free upgraded systems for enhanced #mission effectiveness, the #AceHawk #ML70 will exceed your requirements. A powerful #force when combined greater than 350 years industry experience amongst our team in #operations, #enginerring, #support and #training making for unrivalled capability.
Earlier today, CNBC Overtime’s Morgan L Brennan visited Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky headquarters, an American aircraft manufacturer and an integral contributor to the defense contractor’s broader top line growth. Brennan took a flight in the fully-autonomous Black Hawk helicopter and sat down for an interview with Sikorsky President Paul Lemmo to to discuss the overall business case for autonomous flight and other unmanned systems.

Recapitalisation of analogue #HH60H #Seahawks into #MH60T #Jayhawks continues at pace delivering #proven #capability in the #reacue role for the #CoastGuard with zero timed airframes poised to provide another 20,000 hours of useful service with significant upgrades. Great work by Aaron Johnson and the team. The #AceHawk #ML70B offers #maritime multirole capability with the same philosophy of rebuilding #SH60F and #S70B #Oceanhawks with user defined upgrades and latest avionics to enhance #mission effectiveness. This added to our combined industry experience of over 350 years #operating, #engineering and #training across all roles creates an unrivalled proposition.

The next time you see a U.S. Coast Guard MH-60T Sikorsky rescue helicopter headed over the horizon to save lives, realize you might be looking at a combat-veteran US Navy HH-60H Seahawk. Designed by Sikorsky in the mid-1980's, the HH-60H Seahawk and the original U.S. Coast Guard HH-60J "Jayhawk" were based on the same basic fuselage, with two left-side sliding windows, forward-set tailwheel, and a large open cabin area. 42 of each type were constructed. U.S. Navy helicopter squadrons operated the HH-60H Seahawk for over 30 years, flying thousands of combat hours in support of Operation Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and more. Two U.S. Navy Reserve helicopter squadrons in particular amassed 14,500 combat hours while deployed to Iraq in support of USSOCOM. In 2007, the U.S. Coast Guard initiated in-house overhaul of HH-60J airframes to MH-60T configuration. This overhaul process included the conversion of six retired U.S. Navy SH-60F Seahawk airframes to MH-60T. Realizing the potential of converted Seahawk airframes, the U.S. Coast Guard moved to acquire HH-60H airframes as the U.S. Navy retired them from active service. To date, seven HH airframes have completed conversion (6050-6057) with eight more nearing completion. All remaining HH-60H airframes will be converted to MH-60T with the exception of one, preserved at the National Naval Aviation Museum. #sikorsky #usnavy #uscoastguard #helicopter Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD)
