💡 Something that’s struck me lately is how refreshing it is that Community Investment is standard practice for Housing Associations 🏘 . I wish this was the case in more sectors! Practice is the key word here, we all know the difference between saying something on your website and doing it, then doing it repeatedly takes genuine commitment. This week at the Hact's Community Investment Conference it was inspiring to hear from HAs from across the country on how they’re putting the theory into action, and critically sharing their learning with each other. Here are the golden nuggets I picked up from housing associations who are showing how #CommunityInvestment should be done: -> Co-design solutions with residents 🤝 -> Team up with existing local VCSEs (no need to reinvent the wheel!) 🔄 -> Take the long view on impact 🔭 Kudos to the folks at SNG (Sovereign Network Group), Wates Group, Clarion Housing Group, Thirteen Group, and Peabody who are pushing the envelope in this area! It was great to see familiar faces and meet some new ones: Deborah Williams, Andrew Cooper, Morgan Clarke, Chris Reed, Mike Kirk, Angela Corner.
