It was great to be joined by partners Sport:80 and ActiveXchange UK/Europe last week, as we discussed how technology can help sporting bodies unlock innovative opportunities. The primary focus of session was that of tech collaboration and how it can help the WSA membership maximise organisational capacity, boost financial revenue, and ensure the sector is a safe place for all to enjoy. We also heard from Welsh Gymnastics CEO Victoria Ward about simplified processes and improved efficiency courtesy of the organisation's collaboration with Sport:80. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eMPB-2fd

It was a great day in Cardiff yesterday at the National Sports Centre, presenting on all things sports technology with our partners at Sport:80 to a range of NGBs and Sport Wales. We discussed how sports tech can help NGBs to increase efficiencies and improve effectiveness in driving growth in their sports. We shared an update on our exciting work with Wales Netball, Hoci Cymru, & Welsh Gymnastics , focused on bringing major brands closer to sports, as well as other unique tech innovations. A big thank you to Thomas Sharp from Welsh Sports Association for organising the day. Today sees a slight change of scene as we're in England at the National Memorial Arboretum to attend the Midlands Park Forum Conference, connecting with Local Authorities and Trusts to discuss how we can help with deepening understanding of visits and visitors to parks and open spaces across the midlands. 🌲 🌳

A great line up of delegates and suppliers, from NGBs and leisure operators, to architects and equipment providers. Such a great event to be part of yesterday. The quality of organisation from members of the Sports Technology Alliance was outstanding. Venue, content, and audience engagement was second to none. We can't wait to see how these events continue to evolve and it's clear that this event is quickly becoming the hottest ticket in town. Huge thanks to all those involved in organising from Sport:80, etrainu, ActiveXchange UK/Europe, Cherry Hub, Rosterfy, Coordinate Sport, DMC Sport, Globocol Limited. We were very pleased to join the panel for the first session, with Alex Burrows alongside Jonny Turner, Paul Whapham and Chris Timms, expertly chaired by Andrew Hicks, sharing our exciting, collaborative innovations to help governing bodies to connect with retail and commerce, driving investment back to community sport. The energy and interest in the room was clear, so watch this space because the game is about to change.
