I’m happy to share that I’ve completed my Trainer Certification at GMB Fitness! Now certified to coach in the GMB method of strength, flexibility & control. The training is about building strength flexibility and control in an accessible graded way. They follow, I guess we follow, a framework to Assess the body, Address where the most important work needs to be done and Apply to a clients training. Or your own. It is graded exposure using foundational 'animal' movements to build strength up to higher level skills. The trainer apprenticeship includes a physical program, teaching skills, giving feedback positively, and program planning with assessments. It will add to what I am offering in my online coaching program by expanding my ability to help my clients move beyond feeling younger, pain free and energised... To doing things they thought they might never be able to (again?) like one handed cartwheels, handstands or pull ups. I myself am working toward my 'muscle-up' which at 46, and with hypermobility requires consistency and patience 😏 ! And this is me earlier in the summer doing a one handed cartwheel for feedback. Note the imperfection, knees bent, toes aren't pointed, line not quite straight. But that is the way it goes, progress is through lots of little changes and adaptations building on each other. Progress is better than perfect

    • Me, Duncan, performing a one handed cartwheel, but imperfectly, since my knees are a bit bent and my toes aren't pointed. It's all a work in progress, improvement is in lots of little changes building on top of each other.
