Happy National Mentoring Day! Today, we recognise the importance of mentoring and how it can transform careers. Bernie, Change Management Analyst in our UK business, is passionate about helping others, and mentoring is just one way she does this. Recognising the value of mentorship from her own career journey, Bernie has been paying it forward for almost 20 years, guiding people at various career stages. Currently, Bernie mentors through Code First Girls, providing a safe space for mentees to explore ideas and navigate their goals. The first Green Earth School in Wales has been built! As proud partners of Earthwatch Europe, we’re supporting the creation of Green Earth Schools in Bridgend and Cardiff. With the Bridgend build complete, it marks the very first Green Earth School in Wales! Green Earth Schools provide nature-immersed spaces for pupils to be more connected to the outdoors while they learn. Just as they did for the designing of the spaces, the pupils got involved on the build days too. Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay and this year’s theme is “Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace”. Our People Services teams across our businesses are there to support and empower our colleagues to look after their mental health and wellbeing all year round. We work hard to provide an open and inclusive workplace and encourage our colleagues to talk openly about their mental health so we can be there for them when they need us the most.
