ADR UK is funding four Research Fellows to analyse the #LongitudinalEducationOutcomes dataset. These projects will generate novel insights around people’s pathways through education and work, with potential to inform policy and improve public outcomes. https://lnkd.in/es7QZ4aE

Calling on secondary datasets users! The ESRC: Economic and Social Research Council funded project #TalkDataToMe seeks focus group participants to discuss the acceptability of #LLMs (e.g. ChatGPT) for discovering these - including secondary qualitative data, social/health surveys, administrative records, or forms of ‘big’ data. The focus groups are seeking… 1. PhD students from any year of study in social/environmental sciences (or related backgrounds) 2. Academic researchers in a salaried position at educational institutions in social/environmental sciences (or related backgrounds) 3. Non-academic researchers/analysts in any local or national government department/third sector, whose working area is in social/environmental sciences (or related backgrounds) 4. Data service staff who organise/run digital infrastructure that shares secondary research datasets Date: 2 December, for an hour between 10am-3pm. Participants will receive a £25 Amazon gift voucher. ADR UK is funding a 16-month fellowship to conduct research using The Nursing and Midwifery Council Register - Census 2021 dataset. The ADR Wales Skills and Employability research team has presented findings on equality within tertiary education in Wales. Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency is now receiving applications from accredited researchers to use Northern Ireland Census 2021 Comprehensive Microdata for public good research. This dataset can reveal insights on a range of areas, such as the experiences of hard-to-reach groups: https://lnkd.in/ekE-2g3m. 📣 National Police Chiefs' Council and UK Research and Innovation invite applications to be recognised as a Policing Academic Centre of Excellence. An Institute For Fiscal Studies project, funded by Department for Education and UK Research and Innovation, used linked data to estimate the returns on #HigherEducation for students & taxpayers.
