💼 As companies increase their focus on their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agendas, it is imperative to consider the importance of Human Rights in the workplace and across supply chains. Brinley Salzmann, ADS Director - Overseas & Exports has written a blog highlighting the UK's current legislation in this area through the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and discussing what action industry can take independently. This whole subject is of enormous importance and is something that all companies across sectors have an increasing need to effectively address, especially through supply chain activities. 🔗 Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/eS_w7AUV #aerospace #defence #security #space #UKindustry | Aimie Stone Jordan Croskery George D. 🪖 We are very happy to see today's announcement from UK Ministry of Defence that the process of recruitment for a new, fully fledged National Armaments Director has begun. ⚙️ A National Armaments Director, with proper budgets and authorities, is vital to operationalise industry as a strategic enabler to the UK’s Armed Forces. This new role ensures coherence across exports and industrial planning, and implementation of the Government’s “NATO first” policy. This is something ADS has called for in the past, including in our submission to the ongoing Strategic Defence Review. Read the full announcement here: https://lnkd.in/eXXVU5Jk
