    Global Head of Procurement

I am proud to present the remarkable transformation of seven of our Independent schools in Central London, UK. Over the Easter and Summer breaks, we have worked with and managed an exceptional team to transform 7 schools to deliver transformative educational spaces, involving hundreds of workers and thousands of hours of hard work, all over a very short and challenging programme. The schools, in particular the Wetherby collection has developed a famous reputation over the years as one of the most sought after and leading environments for educating in Central London. The Schools attribute that success, to a meticulously planned academic curriculum, which sees the students continue their senior education at some of the most prestigious schools in the Country. Well done to James Parsons & Lillie Starkings who managed and delivered the works. Special thank you to our amazing Main Contractors, AIS, who delivered an exceptional product under an intense programme who worked seamlessly alongside our trusted Design Team ZPZ Partners & Maurizio Fontanili. Particular thanks go to Graham Shaw and his team, and Michele Zini who led the design.

Old walls, new ideas! With plenty of new builds and fresh Cat A’s to play with, it's not that often we get to work in a Grade II listed building. Sion Hall, a historic neo-Gothic masterpiece set along the Thames, presented a unique challenge: how do you transform a space steeped in heritage into a functional, modern workplace without altering its protected architectural fabric? Strict planning regulations meant no structural changes, so we had to get creative with the layout. The solution? Intelligent spatial planning that worked within the existing constraints, preserving the stunning Victorian features and using modern furniture to bring a fresh contrast. Projects like this remind us how satisfying it is to honour the past while designing for the future. It's not just about aesthetics—it's about finding practical solutions that allow the building to function in a new era. Proud to have been a part of the ICR Framework Plan Engagement Event yesterday! 💡 It's inspiring to see how the workplace strategy we’re working on will support the incredible work of the Institute of Cancer Research. #WorkplaceStrategy #CancerResearch #Wellbeing

🌟 Inside Out at the ICR Framework Plan Engagement Event 🌟 It was fantastic to take part in today’s ICR “Framework Plan Engagement Event.” This morning offered the Estates and Facilities team a valuable opportunity to delve deeper into the ICR’s Framework Plan, how it aligns with the London Cancer Hub's overarching vision, and its connection to the Workplace Strategy that I’m proud to be leading with colleagues from AIS. The Inside Susie Harrison and Damian Mears shared some of the Big Ideas behind the Workplace Strategy. Their insights demonstrated how these ideas support the conceptual proposals of the Framework Plan. The aim of the Workplace Strategy is to define expectations, optimise space use, and promote wellbeing, collaboration, and productivity across the ICR. The Outside David West from Studio Egret West delivered an inspiring presentation, illustrating the “art of the possible.” His vision highlighted how the ICR’s values are embedded in these conceptual proposals, recognising its status as a globally renowned organisation. This afternoon, colleagues from both science and professional services across our Chelsea campus will be attending the event. In addition to the presentations, they will have the chance to explore these exciting concepts via VR and physically design their interpretation of the ideal building that supports both wet and dry lab use. A big thank you to everyone involved, especially: 👉 Studio Egret West 👉 David West 👉 Daniel Mahony 👉 Gemma Noakes 👉 AIS 👉 Oliver Barker 👉 Susie Harrison 👉 Damian Mears 👉 The Institute of Cancer Research 👉 Simon Francis 👉 Jessica Barnes #WorkplaceStrategy #ICRFrameworkPlan #LondonCancerHub #Collaboration #Innovation #Wellbeing
