At Hoxton Farms, science meets sustainability as they grow real animal fat without the animals－combining cell biology and mathematical modelling to create a better kind of fat. Their workspace requirements were as unique as their mission: a state-of-the-art lab, plenty of desk space as their team is growing quickly and a central location to easily welcome potential investors or new talent. They understood that the most impactful way to showcase their product was through hands-on experiences, making their space a crucial part of their mission. Past project: 21 Great Winchester Street is a great showcase for our Jansen Arte 2.0 external door system set within a commercial building in the heart of the City of London. This project was succesfully completed back in 2022 in collaboration with AIS, Richard Skeil and Peter Chang. Thanks to Schüco UK Limited for the thermally broken slim proflles and REACTIVE DOORS LTD for the automation. The biggest challenge was designing and fabricating the portal framework without visible fixings and all in thin gauge stainless steel. We love combining pure architectural metalwork with our proven door systems, in this case the slim profiles of Arte 2.0. Having both teams in-house is the key to achieving that coordination.
