These extraordinary individuals, coming from diverse backgrounds and professions across the UK, are united by a common mission to inspire change and build a better society through global learning. They are set to explore new ideas and best practices by connecting with experts and stakeholders around the world. From combatting racism in nursing and making towns and cities greener to using AI to support reading and employing creative arts in dementia care, they will explore solutions to address various issues in the UK, using insights from their journeys. ✨ CREATIVE LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHT ✨ We are delighted to start a series of posts highlighting the fantastic Creative Leadership Programme participants. Maryam Pourian is Dance Teacher & Director of Dance For Life Devon CIC and has been teaching dance in Plymouth and across Devon for 15 years. She has recently established Dance For life Devon CIC, with the aim to provide high quality, unique dance programmes for all, at every stage of life. Supporting the communities' physical health, mental health and well-being through the power of dance and movement. DFLD's first project is Move to Nurture - a dance programme for those affected by cancer. As part of the Creative Leadership Programme, Maryam is being mentored by Joseph Jeffers, CEO of the award-winning charity ASKI (Advice Support Knowledge Information). ASKI provides a wide range of support for older people from the Global Majority in South East London. Joseph is currently undertaking an MA in Community, Dance and Activism at London Contemporary Dance School. We've had an incredible few weeks at ADVICE SUPPORT KNOWLEDGE INFORMATION . Our CEO, joseph jeffers was invited to officially receive the prestigious Kings Award, and yesterday, I had the honour of attending King Charles' first Garden Party. It was an absolutely stunning event. Who knew that my career change from retail manager to the charity sector would open up a whole new world of possibilities? My Mum was bursting with pride, and my 4-year-old daughter even told her nursery that I was going to the "kingdom"! Thank you, joseph jeffers for always providing me with incredible experiences and opportunities for personal growth.
