As part of this year's Bristol Creative Industries Internship Programme, in partnership with Babbasa and nine fantastic agencies from the BCI member community, the interns were tasked with working on a brief to develop material that could be used to educate, inform and inspire other young people considering a career in the creative industries. They did an absolutely brilliant job producing website and social media content, plus an outstanding film featuring interviews with creative industries professionals about how they got into the sector and their advice to young people. Read this in-depth case study outlining the interns' work, with examples of the material they produced including the final film: https://lnkd.in/eApub6hA You can also watch the film here: https://lnkd.in/e8WpfcbH Big congratulations to our interns Xiaomeng Pan | Fiona Bui | Holly Poon | Oghenewerhi Worhi Dumuje | Elma Hossain | Kaden Gardener | Inaz Hussain | Jan A. We had a great time showcasing aer studios capabilities in the Innovation Alley at the Government Transformation Expo this week in London. ✨ A recurring theme was the tremendous value that SME’s can bring to UK Gov and public sector organisations, bringing the creativity and innovation that other sectors enjoy and benefit from. 🃏 We saw significant interest in our Method Cards - 41 carefully crafted cards featuring user-centred methods designed to streamline discovery of user needs, business needs and product insights. Thank you to the Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) team for the invitation - it was wonderful to catch up with partners and the people behind this great community! #CreativeTechnology #Innovation #GovernmentTransformation #PublicSectorInnovation #Transformation

Heading back from the Government Transformation Summit having made a whole bunch of great connections and learned more about how we at aer studios can further engage with the public sector. The highlight for me was receiving an invitation from Government Transformation Magazine to join a select group of SMEs in a meeting with Andrew Western MP to discuss all things digital transformation and innovation. Andrew was interested to learn how Gov departments can better engage with SME's to unlock and accelerate innovation as part of their digital transformation programmes. Three takeouts for me; 1. Government are interested in how to become more user-centric in their approach to digital product/service design 2. There is a need for reform when it comes to commercial frameworks and in particular, the procurement of services across the gov SME ecosystem 3. Unanimous alignment in the room around the need to better utilise SME's to tap into the creativity perhaps more prevalent in the private sectors and how to fuse creative services with tech in order to achieve true innovation Andrew is not doubt a busy man so, whilst it was a short conversation, his interest and engagement in this important topic was appreciated. Thanks to Ed T. and Ayesha P. for the invite to participate. #digitaltransformation #innovation #creativetechnology
