Africell Group reposted this
Last Friday, we organized a #TGIF & Indoor Games Night at our Head Office, Wilberforce village, as a way to take the edge off, bond effortlessly, and celebrate the hard work of our #AfricellFamily 🙌🏾. It brought out the fun and friendly competitive spirit in our team with a variety of games like Scrabble, Ludo, Draft, Snake & Ladder, PS5 tournament 🎮, and many more games🃏. The energy was high, and we had a wonderful night filled with laughter, as we wrapped up the week. At #AfricellSL we continue to prioritize special moments with our workforce 💜. #AfrimoneySL #DiNetwork4U

The Lobito Corridor is a multi-billion idea putting #Angola, #DRC, #Tanzania and #Zambia at the heart of the global economy At the Classic Car Club in Manhattan, Africell recently launched an exclusive preview of #LobitoBound, a forthcoming feature-length documentary about the #LobitoCorridor. The film follows BAFTA-nominated explorer Dwayne Fields (FRGS) on an epic 4,000km expedition across Africa. Featuring The HALO Trust, which is clearing the way for the Lobito Corridor by removing the explosive debris of Angola’s civil war, the film will bring one of the biggest geopolitical stories of our age to life in an entirely new way. At the screening in New York, over two hundred guests enjoyed a teaser of Lobito Bound, got to meet its main characters, and heard more about the Lobito Corridor from top officials from the #US, #UK, Angola, DRC and Zambia. They were also treated to some real life Grenadiers from INEOS Automotive, an indomitable fleet of which got Dwayne and the crew safely across Africa. Lobito Bound will be released in full in early 2025. With additional thanks to the U.S. Department of State, Ivanhoe Mines KoBold Metals Financial Times Grammar Productions and Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR). Visit www.lobitobound.com to learn more.

In early 2025, Africell will proudly launch ‘Lobito Bound’, a feature-length documentary about the Lobito Corridor: a multi-billion-dollar idea that promises to put #Angola, the #DRC, #Zambia and #Tanzania at the heart of the global economy. Lobito Bound will follow BAFTA-nominated British explorer Dwayne Fields (FRGS) as he undertakes an epic 4,000km expedition across Africa. Setting off from Dar Es Salaam, Dwayne will travel by road, rail, and on foot through Zambia, the DRC and Angola, ending his journey at the deep-water port of Lobito on Angola’s Atlantic coast. Produced by Grammar Productions and made with the support of INEOS Automotive, The HALO Trust, Ivanhoe Mines, the Financial Times and the U.S. Department of State, Lobito Bound brings to life a fascinating story and shows why the Lobito Corridor is a concept we should all be taking seriously. Afrimoney recently opened a 'payment services centre' in Bairro Azul, #Luanda. The centre, staffed by friendly and knowledgeable experts, helps existing Afrimoney customers - and those considering trying it - to get the hang of the service, experiment with new uses, and fix problems. Mobile money is still in its infancy in #Angola, and the new payment services centre is just one of the things Afrimoney is doing to build trust, awareness and understanding. #mobilemoney #mobilefordevelopment #customerservice #telecommunications #innovation #friendly

We recently invited Sotheby's to #DRC and #Angola for a series of talks and curated exhibitions, following an event we put on together in #London earlier this year. #Africa’s art sector is poised for explosive growth. Sotheby’s is already a world leader in contemporary African art, so it was natural for them to team up with the #AfricellImpactFoundation to celebrate talented Congolese and Angolan artists and to figure out how to bring more African art to the world. With thanks to Hannah O'Leary and Adriana La Lime. #contemporaryart #creativity #collaboration #partnership
