🚀Why use AI for 3D printing? Let's Talk Tools! 🚀 In today's fast-paced tech landscape, it's crucial to ask the right questions about our tools - especially when it comes to 3D printing and AI. AI is a powerful technology that can enhance productivity, helping us achieve the perfect result on the first try. That's what truly matters! However, amidst the AI hype and a flurry of new features, we must remain cautious. Marketing can blur the lines between genuine AI-driven productivity and mere buzzwords. We've seen this trend in the 3D printing industry more often than we'd like. At Aibuild, we're exploring both AI models and advanced geometry algorithms to solve a wide range of manufacturing challenges. When it comes to selecting the optimal slicing angle for a print, we raced our geometry engine against various AI models, including 3D CNNs and transformer models. The results? Our geometry algorithms won—not only in accuracy but also in computation speed—delivering the best-fit angle in seconds for minimum required support and watertightness.
