Chief Executive Officer at Al-Hasaniya MWP About us: Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Project Ltd, known as Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre, is a stalwart community beacon based in London, dedicated to serving Moroccan and Arabic-speaking women and their families. For over 38 years, we've championed the needs of women from diverse nationalities, ethnicities, and faiths, collaborating with over 20 partners to protect, educate, engage, and empower our community. Since the onset of COVID-19, our organisation has assisted approximately 15,000 cases annually, with 70% of them related to domestic violence. About us
Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre serves the health, welfare, educational and cultural needs of Moroccan and Arabic-speaking women and their families residing in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and London-wide. Al-Hasaniya’s work seeks to encourage and enable the women to integrate and participate fully in their communities outside the centre, with the long term objective of helping to prevent current problems from perpetuating themselves in future generations. We run several projects including; Angelou Domestic Violence Project, Emotional Well-Being Project, Mental Health Project, ESOL Project, Supporting Grenfell Survivors, Older People's Outreach Project, Ayam Zaman Older Men's Project as well as drop-in support sessions and activities throughout the week. Since 2017 Al-Hasaniya has held special status within the UN Committee of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
