We are pleased to announce the successful reset and upsizing of AlbaCore Euro CLO V DAC (“AlbaCore Euro CLO V”) with €425 million target collateral. This transaction extends the reinvestment period by five years, allowing for continued investment flexibility, and reduces the cost of capital by more than 100 basis points. The reset underscores AlbaCore’s commitment to delivering innovative, fundamental research-driven solutions for investors across the credit spectrum, guided by responsible investing principles. Arranged by Deutsche Bank, this transaction brings AlbaCore’s total issuance of European Collateralised Loan Obligations to over €3 billion since June 2020. We were thrilled to host our investors at this year’s AGM, where we shared insights on key developments and new opportunities for the Firm and our clients. Our Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, David Allen, along with Partners Zeynep Tumer Bayazid and Matthew Courey, kicked off the event with an overview of current market conditions and AlbaCore’s growth plans, including a 17-member team expansion, and the benefits of our strategic partnership with First Sentier Investors. During his opening remarks, David reviewed the promising landscape for private credit despite the increased competition. He highlighted how stabilising inflation and moderate economic growth have created a strong backdrop for credit, although market volatility and geopolitics present challenges. Our panels featured insights from our investment team and thought leaders across the industry. Partner Bill Ammons, Valeria Mollova of Apollo, and Joe Bishay of Morgan Stanley, discussed the European public and private credit markets. In addition, Partner Deborah Cohen Malka, Managing Director Seán Golden and Conor O'Toole of Deutsche Bank, discussed the European loan and Collateralised Loan Obligation landscape. Additionally, the event featured an ESG Fireside Chat between Matt Courey and Oxford University’s climate physicist Dr. Philip Stier, during which they conversed about the financial sector's role in addressing climate change, the urgent need for solutions, and AlbaCore’s initiatives in this space. Despite recent market volatility, the European leveraged finance market has remained relatively protected. Members of the AlbaCore team recently spent time volunteering with the Children's Book Project, helping to sort public donations and arranging book bundles for families and schools across London. Together, the team packed 2,100 baby books into bundles for new mothers to receive through foodbank networks, exceeding our goal of 1,000 books. We also sorted and compiled 870 books for a local junior school, helping ensure young students have access to quality reading material. It was a successful and rewarding day supporting Children's Book Project in their mission to promote book ownership and reading among children. We are proud to volunteer our time to work with organisations making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families. #Volunteering #CommunityImpact #Culture #Team
