This feedback makes us glow with pride! Today our Creative Director, Alex led a series of creative wellbeing exercises as part of the ERG Leaders Summit at the Storey Club, Paddington. Thanks so much to Sheryl Miller for the invitation. Simple, accessible, creative acts can make a huge shift in sense of wellbeing and connection to self, as you can see from these wonderful quotes from people today. If you are looking for this sort of energetic creative boost for your workplace, come talk to us! Thanks to UnLtd for supporting @Alex so we could be change makers today! #everydaycreativity #wellbeingatwork #ERG

In the February school holidays (2025) we will be running an excellent animation project in Helensburgh, funded through Oardacious, the submarine wellness and mental health charity. There will be workshops for 7-11s and 12-16s. Open to all, although priority goes to forces families. To express your interest in this, fill out the form in comments.

It's delivery day at Albatross! We've been out locally delivering our Creative Toolkits to two dementia care settings. It's our aim to get a kit into every dementia care setting in Scotland. Here's what today's recipients said: "What’s not to love? So generous and well thought through", Elaine community activity organiser Alzheimer’s Scot Helensburgh "Why has nobody else else done this before? This such a valuable resource." Anne-Marie King, Centre Manager, Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre, Helensburgh. If you'd like to support us to get more toolkits printed and out being used for creative wellbeing, get in touch. #dementia #dementiacare #creativewellbeing

Last month we had the pleasure of supporting the ERG Summit, led by Reboot Global at the Storey Club in London. We delivered two creative reflection sessions as part of the main agenda, with a doodling task in the morning and some reflective journaling in the afternoon. Here’s what Sheryl Miller (Founder of Reboot Global) said about our involvement: “Alex and Albatross Arts brought something very special and unique to our event and this was reflected in the feedback we've had from delegates. They created space for creativity and quiet reflection in an innovative way which I've never seen done before at a business event. Absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend them for workshops, conferences etc. and more - the possibilities are endless!” They are indeed endless. Building on this, we’re currently gearing up for a big event with construction firm Wates next month (thanks to Social Investment Scotland for the intro). If you’d like to talk to us about your event, let’s get a chat! Thanks to UnLtd for the support towards attending the ERG summit. #erg #wellnessatwork #creativeworkplaces

We refreshed our values earlier in the year. They are our north star, keeping us on track to achieving our goals and reaching people with our work. Also, just reading them through is a brilliant reminder to ourselves on why we do what we do. A brilliant motivator! :: Wellbeing We nurture and support individuals, empowering them to reach their full potential. :: Creativity Creativity is at the heart of what we do—our approach is inspirational, ethical, and driven by a commitment to quality. :: Impact We drive positive change through meaningful conversations and gentle rebellions that challenge the status quo in constructive and transformative ways. :: Fun We believe in fostering growth mindsets through playful interventions, ensuring that fun is integral to everything we do. #values #northstar #everydaycreativity

    Excited for this!

🐬 HMS Oardacious – Submarine Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, a proud part of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), break down barriers with Albatross Arts. 🎨 Through Albatross Arts, children will create two short, animated films - participating in all aspects of production - storyboarding, crafting each component of film, voice recording and filming. Albatross Arts delivers customised and ‘off the shelf’ well-established visual arts programmes. Positioning themselves at the heart of a multi-agency approach (health, social care, voluntary & community) that achieves maximum, lasting impact. 🐬 Hugo Mitchell-Heggs, the chair from the HMS Oardacious Commitee said they “Are absolutely thrilled to approve this grant and fund this exciting project with the very talented team at Albatross Arts. We have seen how much experiences like this can help benefit young people, particularly those with parents from service backgrounds helping them develop creative outlets to process emotions whilst fostering meaningful connections with others in the local community. We look forward to hearing about the journey these children go on with this experience and to watching the video once it’s been produced. Have fun!” 🖌️ The programme will provide a platform for eliminating obstacles and exposing young people to experiencing creativity beyond the classroom, working alongside industry professionals. These experiences provide a catalyst to initiate connections, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging with other young people from Naval and civilian families in their community. ✍️ The workshops will take place in the February half-term 2025 and will be for two age groups: 7-12 and 13+ via local community spaces within central Helensburgh. The animation project will be open to forces’ families and local young people. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eYSikkTt

Collaborations and supporting other social enterprises is at the core of who we are. And on World Mental Health Day it feels pertinent to share this from our mental wellness and creativity work. Here are some lovely birdies that emerged from our drawing meditation workshop last week with Pause and Breathe CIC. Looking forward to tomorrow. It's fab working with you!

We're looking forward to meeting all the Wates Group ERG well being groups and buy social team at the meet the supplier event. We're delivering some exciting creativity in the workplace projects for Wates this autumn, and looking forward to forging new collaborations with other departments this week. Alongside supporting employees with creative wellbeing activities, all this work also pays-it-forward, funding our Creative Boost toolkits going into every dementia care setting in Scotland by 2030. Thanks to Social Investment Scotland for the initial introduction. #everydaycreativity #wellbeingatwork #ERG
