About us
We provide information, advice and support for people with experience in alopecia. Awareness Raising We work to increase awareness of alopecia amongst the general public, increasing understanding of the types of alopecia and the psychological implications of having alopecia Research We conduct and support research into treatments for alopecia and the psychological aspects of and coping with alopecia. Advice and information We provide impartial, evidence based information and advice to the general public on all aspects of alopecia. Support We provide support for people with alopecia in a number of ways with both online support forums and support groups for people with alopecia to meet in person. How we raise funds Despite being the largest charity for people with alopecia in the UK we are still a small charity. We rely on the donations and fantastic fundraising efforts of the general public to keep us going. We also raise some money through our suppliers directory, where companies pay to be listed.
