They did it! 🏃♂️ 496km, over 750,000 steps, and at least one incredibly swollen ankle later, Matthew Robinson, Zac Eddie and Sam Dempster crossed the finish line of their Run the Month challenge on Friday! For 31 days, they ran the date in kilometres, starting with 1km on the 1st and finishing with a brutal 31km on the final day. The Ambit team was there to cheer them over the finish line, celebrating a challenge that pushed their limits while raising money for the Cardinal Hume Centre, supporting young people and families facing poverty and homelessness. An incredible effort for an amazing cause. If you’d like to show your support, their fundraising link is here: https://bit.ly/4aLx08i 👏 #RunTheMonth #ChallengeComplete #TeamAmbit

At the Waterman, smart design is at the heart of creating a high-quality workspace. We implemented intelligent lighting with Presence Detection (PIR) sensors to activate lights only when needed, optimising energy consumption. The design prioritises natural light, cutting down the reliance on artificial lighting and enhancing the overall workspace experience. Biophilic elements, like a rooftop with wildflower species, boost urban biodiversity and support wellbeing. The Waterman is on track for BREEAM, WELL, and NABERS certifications, reflecting our commitment to environmental and social standards in every detail. As we approach the final day of Run The Month, we visited the Cardinal Hume Centre, where Georgia Yale gave us a tour and shared how they provide life-changing support to young people and families facing poverty and homelessness. The centre offers a safe place, education, employment guidance, and housing support, helping people build brighter futures. Visiting the centre was a powerful reminder of why Matthew Robinson, Zac Eddie, and Sam Dempster took on this challenge and how every donation directly supports the centre’s work. If you’d like to contribute, you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/eY_pz9rr To learn more about the Cardinal Hume Centre and the people they help, visit: https://lnkd.in/dgQkDkP. A huge thank you to Georgia for taking the time to show us around and share the incredible impact of the centre’s work. #RunTheMonth #CharityChallenge #CardinalHumeCentre #TeamAmbit

The finish line is in sight and your support makes all the difference! 🏃♂️ Matthew Robinson, Zac Eddie, and Sam Dempster are powering through the Run the Month challenge, running the date in kilometres every day this January. That’s 496km by the end of the month, the equivalent of nearly 12 marathons! They’ve taken on this incredible challenge to raise £1,000 for the Cardinal Hume Centre, a Westminster-based charity supporting families and young people facing poverty and homelessness. If you haven’t donated yet, now’s the time to get behind them! Whether it’s £5 or £50, every penny goes towards helping those in need. 👉 Show your support and donate here: https://lnkd.in/eY_pz9rr #RunTheMonth #CharityChallenge #CardinalHumeCentre #TeamAmbit
Just 2 days of the Run the Month challenge remain for Sam Dempster Zac Eddie and I ⚠️ For the last 29 days we have each ran the same amount of kilometres as the date (29th of Jan today so we ran 29km), completing a total of 435km so far with another 61km to go for tomorrow and Friday to close out the challenge. The rules were simple, complete the distance throughout the day on your own two feet and send the evidence into the group chat (we did set a minumum pace per km to try and prevent any walking!). Over the month this has so far resulted in some pretty astounding stats: - 435km ran - 709,549 steps taken - 49,271 active calories burnt - 4.5kg of weight lost - What feels like 2 legs and ankles broken We are doing all this to raise money for the fantastic Cardinal Hume Centre - a charity that provides much needed assistance to young people and families facing poverty and at risk of homelessness within Westminster. If you are able, please check them out and help in any way you can. Our fundraising link is below. https://lnkd.in/eBF2NmUd

The Waterman project required careful planning and innovative solutions to transform interconnected Victorian warehouses into a unified, dynamic workspace. We expanded the structure with two additional levels and a rooftop terrace, all while respecting the site's historical integrity. Throughout the project, we reintegrated 2.3 tonnes of structural steel originally used for temporary works, cutting 5,635kg of carbon emissions. Sourcing British steel with 25% recycled content resulted in an additional 50,000kg reduction in carbon. Our approach demonstrates how structural precision and sustainable choices can achieve ambitious environmental goals. We’re pleased to share our latest project: the 70,000 sq ft transformation of the Waterman in Clerkenwell’s Conservation Area. Working with BGO, we breathed new life into this historic space, merging its Victorian character with cutting-edge design to create a workspace fit for the future. Our circular approach helped minimise the building's carbon footprint, repurposing 5,000 bricks for a 3,125kg CO2 reduction. While three tonnes of old window glass were reimagined as ecorok terrazzo countertops, saving around 1,000kg of carbon emissions. The installation of new double-glazed windows boosted energy efficiency, setting the building on track to offset its embodied carbon within six years. Open spaces, standing desks, and areas that encourage natural movement help reduce stress and keep energy levels high throughout the day. Mental health matters too. Natural light, greenery, and flexible spaces empower employees to work in ways that suit them best, creating happier, healthier teams. What do you think, could your workspace use a wellbeing boost?
