We have been appointed to the YORconsult3 Framework to provide civil and structural engineering consultancy services to public sector and third sector organisations. The framework supports local authorities across Yorkshire, the Humber, the North East, and the Midlands in accessing high-quality consultancy services for construction, urban planning, and environmental projects. Our appointment covers the Civil Engineering and Drainage and Flood Alleviation Lots, enabling us to deliver flood prevention, drainage, and structural engineering services. Building on our work through YORconsult 1 and 2, where we helped transform Goole Town Centre and upgraded Wakefield’s streetlights, we look forward to continuing to deliver impact across the region. We proudly celebrate the full activation of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, marking a major milestone in London’s infrastructure and a cleaner, healthier River Thames. As the lead systems integrator, we have played a critical role in connecting all 21 sites across the 25km tunnel, ensuring complex systems work in unison to protect the river from sewage pollution. Jody is a Learning & Development Partner for our Consulting team, leading both the Early Careers and L&D teams. Now in her eighth year at Amey, she’s passionate about creating opportunities for others to grow. Jody has also balanced career progression with motherhood, having had two children while working at Amey—and still securing promotions. She credits supportive leadership and improved parental leave policies for enabling her to thrive. Ruth is about to mark 18 years at Amey, progressing from Project Support Consultant to Principal Commercial Manager. Along the way, she has earned an MSc in Commercial Management and built a career that’s been shaped by strong mentorship. "I’ve had several unofficial mentors—all of them male—who believed in me, encouraged me, and challenged me to grow. I’ve learned from watching how they work, engaging in discussions, and developing new ideas together."
