Last Friday, the Amiri team swapped their hard hats for dinner jackets and ball gowns as we celebrated our 20th Anniversary at The Grand in Southampton. 🎉🥂 It was an incredibly proud evening, filled with heartfelt speeches and laughter-filled moments, giving us the opportunity to reflect on the dedication and hard work our team has invested over the years. We were honoured to celebrate with everyone and recognise six team members who have been with Amiri from the very beginning. A huge thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible. Amiri is pleased to announce our most recent contract award, in which we have been appointed by English Rural Housing Association (ERHA) to design and construct five new dwellings on Church Road, Longstock, for affordable rent & shared ownership. 🏡 This development will provide much-needed affordable housing for local residents in the village of Longstock.🌳 The project will include the full design and construction of the dwellings, as well as all associated external works, including roads, drainage, landscaping, and services. 24 affordable rent apartments at Craven Court, Bournemouth, were handed over to the end-user, BCP Council, in the autumn of 2024. Having been part of Amiri Construction’s project team through RIBA stages 3-7, we coordinated with expert consultants to submit a Non-Material Amendment application, discharge planning conditions, complete the building regulations drawings, and construction package. The completed project was finished to a high standard with feature brickwork, recessed windows, and an inset top floor providing large rooftop terraces for private amenity. 🏘️ We have completed our latest affordable housing development in New Milton. The scheme, containing 6 apartments and 10 houses, has been built at Moore Close. The homes meet the government's proposed Future Homes Standard and produce 75-80% lower carbon emissions compared to current levels. Energy efficiency and carbon reducing measures include air source heat pumps for heating, solar PV panels, triple glazing, increased insulation, and electric vehicle charging points.
