Please join us in welcoming our 2024 graduates, Romeo, Alpine, and Olivia! When asked what attracted each of them to our graduate programme, they shared the following insights: Romeo Grano: ‘‘Specialty insurance interests me because of the unique risks, and it will challenge me. AGR also supports the CII qualification, which is important to me because I aim to progress and improve my career.’’ Alpine Umutoni: ‘‘For me, a graduate scheme was the best way to build a strong foundation to identify growth areas and effectively specialise. AGR provides a welcoming environment to make that happen.’’ Olivia Odunjo-Climent: ‘‘I really enjoyed the friendly and collaborative atmosphere I experienced during my interview. It also felt like AGR invests a lot of time and resources into their graduates’ growth.’’ We’re thrilled to have them aboard and look forward to seeing what they’ll achieve in their new roles. #WorkPlacement #GraduateProgramme #InsuranceIndustry

We have exciting news to share regarding some big transitions here at Amwins Global Risks! Our current CEO, Nate Mathis, will be passing the baton over to Nick Abraham, Executive Vice President and branch leader for Amwins Brokerage in the US, as of January 2025. Mathis will rejoin US-based leadership in Charlotte to continue focusing on select key growth initiatives of the company; on this transition, Chief Executive Officer of Amwins Group Inc., Scott Purviance, has stated: ‘‘Under Nate’s leadership, Amwins Global Risks has firmly established itself as the leading independent Lloyd’s broker, representing more than $3 billion in placed premium. We look forward to welcoming him back to Charlotte.’’   Our newly appointed CEO, Nick Abraham, has been part of the Amwins’ Brokerage Division leadership team since November 2021. Prior to taking on his role with Amwins, Abraham held multiple leadership positions with Markel over a 17-year period. On his appointment as AGR CEO, Purviance has stated: ‘‘Nick has made a substantial impact across the Brokerage Division and truly embodies the Amwins servant leadership culture. His experience on the carrier side, combined with his wholesale broking knowledge, make him an ideal choice to lead the continued expansion of our London operation.’’ We wish all the best to Nate and his future pursuits, and will certainly miss having him around! We are also equally as thrilled to welcome Nick aboard and look forward to working with him. On 6th and 7th September, we held our Classic Cars and Cotswolds fundraiser event to raise money for the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund via Blood Cancer UK. In total, we raised £15,150! ''The event was a great success, even if the English summer weather didn’t behave! It was wonderful to see the cars being driven properly, in such picturesque scenery. Matthew Wilson made a very humbling speech at dinner, and was really moved by all the fantastic fundraising we have all achieved at AGR. A huge thank you to the winners of the auction, to the individuals who supplied the cars, and to the hotels and restaurants that all played a part in making it run so smoothly.'' – Mark Cody, Managing Director #BloodCancerUK #Charity #ClassicCarsandCotswolds

The countdown is on to Classic Cars and Cotswolds! Taking place this Friday and Saturday, the event brings together the classic cars of some of our insurance colleagues and those who’ve bid for the chance to drive them, all to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK and the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund. Thank you to everyone who donated their car for the event, and who bid on one, even if you weren’t successful. We can’t wait to share the photos from the event, as well the good news of how much money we’ve raised. To those driving the cars this Friday and Saturday – drive safely and enjoy! #classiccarsandcotswolds #classiccars
