Our Impact Finance Network (IFN) prgramme recently hosted a two-day conference on 8-9 October in Johannesburg, bringing together over 200 investors, businesses, and changemakers. The event, themed "Unlocking the Role of Corporates in Impact Investing," explored how we and our partners can amplify positive change across South Africa. Together with our partners, we aim to bridge the gap between impactful businesses and the investment needed for growth. To date, this has unlocked $59 million in capital, supporting youth entrepreneurship, climate-resilient farming, and green innovations. The conference featured panel discussions, pitching sessions, and case studies, all showcasing the potential for impact investment to drive sustainable, economic inclusion. We are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EY at the event. Through EY Ripples, their global corporate responsibility program, EY will provide 100 hours of pro bono business support to small and medium-sized businesses in southern Africa as part of an IFN pilot project. This partnership will help impact-driven enterprises improve their businesses, gain market knowledge, and maximize their investment potential. Earlier this week at the Impact Investment Conference, Yvonne Mfolo Executive Head Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Impact at Anglo American Platinum delivered the welcome address, highlighting the role of the Impact Fund Network (IFN) in supporting sustainable development. She explained that the IFN connects investors with organizations seeking funding for impactful projects, aligning with Anglo American’s sustainability goals. Mfolo emphasized that organizations can benefit from the IFN by leveraging its resources and partnerships to accelerate their initiatives and drive positive change. Mfolo also touched on Anglo American’s commitment to addressing South Africa’s key challenges, such as water scarcity, and unemployment. Through impact investing, the company aims to enable local solutions and economic diversification. She encouraged participants to fully engage in the event, network, and collaborate to unlock opportunities and create a sustainable future for South Africa. #ImpactInvesting

Following the announcement of our partnership with BeiFeng Group, over 200 key stakeholders recently joined us for an event in North East China that included seminars and demonstrations to showcase how POLY4 can be used to increase crop yield on corn, soybean and potatoes.
