Venture capital for early stage enterprise technology companies

About us

Angular is a specialist venture capital firm, and we're looking to back a very specific type of company: Enterprise-oriented. If your business requires consumer adoption, it's not for us. We back companies that sell products and services to other companies. Deep technology. We are firm believers in the value of meaningful barriers to entry, and we know there are a lot of ways to define and construct those barriers. Born in Europe or Israel. We know that great innovation can come from anywhere. Our focus is on companies born on the "right" side of the Atlantic, specifically in Europe or Israel. Global ambition. While it's possible to build a great business without targeting a global opportunity, we are exclusively focused on companies that are chasing a truly global opportunity. In most cases, this means a focus on US market entry from day one. Outstanding founding teams with domain expertise. We believe that great founders are the main driver of success for any entrepreneurial venture. We like "well-rounded" founders, but tend to prefer founders that are "angular," bringing unique technical or domain expertise to bear. Early stage. We like to be very early. We are not religious about being first, but most of our investments are into companies that have raised less than $1M before we engage.

Between not having visibility into what's connected into your SaaS environment, who has access, and the level of access they've been granted (it's so easy to just give a SaaS app permissions when they ask), most organizations are unaware of the data exposure in their SaaS apps. But you don't have to be one of them. Read Reco CEO & Cofounder Ofer Klein latest piece for Forbes Technology Council for tips on how to lower your risk of data exposure. https://hubs.ly/Q02SNSPb0 #cybersecurity #saassecurity #CISO

    Co-founder, CEO at Blue Energy

I am very excited to share what we have been working on for the last year. For over 40 years, construction of new nuclear power plants has been slow and plagued with cost overruns. We founded Blue Energy to unlock an entirely new paradigm of manufacturing, installation, and siting for nuclear power, leveraging techniques and form factors from the offshore oil & gas and wind sectors to reduce the build time from >10 years to 2 years and the overnight capital cost from >$10K/kW to $2K/kW. We have assembled an industry-leading team, and we are announcing today a $45M Series A to execute on the first step of this plan. Additionally, we are sharing the design of our fully modular plant architecture that is compatible with multiple reactor vendors and can be manufactured centrally in existing shipyards around the world. Those of you who have known me for a decade or longer know this is a pursuit of passion for me. I would like to thank our investors and our team for making the vision of this company a reality. We are building an energy abundant future enabled by low cost nuclear power. Please reach out if you would like to help build this future. Thank you Matthew Slotkin, Tom O'Neill, Ted Kowalski, Charlie Bowser, CJ Fong, Cody Jacobucci, Jared Conway, Paulina Mustafa, Jake Bograd-Denton, Engine Ventures, At One Ventures, Angular Ventures, Tamarack Global, Propeller Venture Capital, Nucleation Capital, Starlight Ventures, Lara Pierpoint, Jon Gribble, Lisa Wood, John Raymont, Lee Laurendeau, Kenneth Petersen And thank you Michelle Hussel for he great fast work on the renderings

Nuclear is broken. Less than 10% of the cost of a typical nuclear power plant is the reactors themselves. Greater than 90% of the cost is related to compliance, labor, construction and, of course, the massive interest expense that grows astronomically over the 10+ years it takes to build the typical plant. Which is why we're incredibly excited to finally be able to share our investment in Blue Energy (https://blueenergy.co/)! https://lnkd.in/eyfh4SE6 Blue Energy solves all of these challenges. The company deploys small modular nuclear power plants to inexpensively, quickly, and safely expand capacity at existing nuclear sites. This novel design reduces the cost for nuclear power from >$15k/kW to <$3k/kW and the deployment time from >10 years to 2 years by leveraging pre-certified light water reactors and centralized manufacturing techniques from offshore oil and wind that puts nuclear on a learning curve akin to wind, solar, and batteries. That is incredibly exciting. But our investment in Blue Energy is, more than anything, about the team. We often talk about how we should be backing founders that are “all over it.” That’s hard to define, but Jake Jurewicz is perhaps the most “all over it” founder we’ve been lucky enough to meet. He's been living and breathing nuclear his entire career and Blue Energy is so clearly the culmination of this effort. This is a larger round than we normally take part in, but we were so excited by the vision, and so convinced by how large this could be, that we had to take part. We're honored to invest alongside Engine Ventures, At One Ventures and Tamarack Global, Propeller, Starlight Ventures and Nucleation Capital. Let's go!

Co-founder @ Levity.ai | AI automation for freight email operations

Today we are excited to announce Control Tower!🗼👀 A new Levity product that we have been working on relentlessly with our customers to make it the best business intelligence solution for inbox analytics and bring light into the darkness of messy email communications in freight. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? We’ve seen time and time again that people have no idea what is going on inside of their email inboxes which play a crucial role in day to day operations – especially in freight. That makes it very difficult for leadership to steer the business effectively into the right direction. They are flying blind and make decisions based on anecdotal evidence and gut feeling. 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞? It can be as simple as "𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬?" and as complex as “𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 15% 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 10% 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘣 𝘻𝘦𝘳𝘰 40 𝘧𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳”. Possibilities are endless. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? We are using Levity’s existing AI email processing capabilities (classification, extraction, etc.) as well as some clever matching logic behind the scenes to create a full picture for you across inboxes. You can connect as many inboxes (Outlook, Gmail, Front etc.) as you like, personal inboxes and shared inboxes alike and go back up to 1 year in your analysis. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭? We’re rolling out Control Tower as of today to a handful of customers every week and to everyone throughout Q4. You can go to our website to request access. --- 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫🗼👀 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘧𝘭𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘥.
