🌍💚 The Ansell Green Team💚 🌍 Our Green Team meets regularly to discuss how we can achieve a more sustainable future. Here's just a few of the initiatives they've championed so far: ✅ Carbon Measured Organisation – We are proud to be a verified Carbon Measured organisation, dedicated to tracking and reducing our carbon footprint. ✅ Eco-Friendly Packaging – The majority of our products are now packaged in unbleached, fully recycled and recyclable brown cardboard, one of the most environmentally friendly materials. ✅ On-Site Waste Reduction – We’ve significantly reduced paper usage across all sites and introduced recycling bins to encourage better waste management. ✅ Reduced Carbon Footprint – We’ve made significant strides in reducing the carbon footprint of our vehicle fleet. In 2018, our 39 commercial vehicles had an average CO2 emission of 106.2 g/km. Today, with 47 vehicles, our fleet’s average CO2 is down to 65.7 g/km, achieving a 34.3% reduction in emissions. But our journey doesn’t stop here! Today we took a group of level 2 learners to Ansell Lighting for an absolutely fantastic afternoon talk on their range of lighting products and the sustainability measures they have in place. Special thanks to Nick Anderson for driving the minibus Frances Ffitch for her hospitality Chris Anderson for his demonstration of all the products Anthony Parkinson for the sustainability talk and Jason Dwan for a fantastic mouth dropping tour of the production, testing, and warehousing facilities. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and it was good to see the learners getting a bigger picture of the industry.

We were pleased to see that the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) met recently with MPs and Ministers to discuss the critical shortage of qualified electricians needed to meet the UK’s net zero ambitions. As a business, we fully support the ECA’s Charter to #RechargeElectricalSkills and we recognise the importance in investing in the electricians of the future - which is why we are working closely with schools and colleges to support potential young sparkies on their journeys.
