I remember a person saying to me years ago, if we were able to unlock our minds and using them to half the capability they have the world would be an amazing place. Wouldn't that be true!  Whilst we only use a fraction of our brains they can be sneaky and if we tell ourselves something enough times our brain transforms that thought into fact.... that's where Apiary can step in.  We empower individuals to change their mindset, to challenge what is fiction and fact and this builds confidence. I thought I'd spend today introducing me to those that are new to the business page, or we haven't caught up for some time. I'm Julie, I'm the founder of Apiary Solutions. I began Apiary Solutions back in 2022 after leaving the corporate world with a vision of: 🐝 Supporting small / medium businesses as; 🐝their outsourced HR team 🐝Supporting their internal HR Team 🐝Providing leadership and mindset coaching to enable individuals to be their most amazing self But what else can I tell you about me? Being involved in my local community is important whether that is as: 🐝An enterprise advisor - collaborating with local schools and talking to their students about work and their future paths 🐝Being an emergency foster mum for French Bulldogs with the Phoenix French Bulldog Rescue 🐝I'm also a Trustee with Peterborough Rape Crisis and am coming up to my 9 year anniversary in post. I recently did a management away day with the fabulous team at Pike Textile Display Limited and we completed the exercise of 2 truths and a lie... my ones were: 🐝 I've sung in a band at a festival 🐝 I use to play the Didgeridoo 🐝 When I backpacked round Australia the journey I took was decided by the person who won the game of pool the night before... & I'd love to know what you thought my lie was 😉

One thing you are rarely told when you start your career in HR is that it can be a lonely place. Spending all your time supporting employees and leaders, you sometimes don't get that time to support yourself. I get this.  I also get that sometimes you need to bounce ideas with someone to find that solutions but there might not be the right period within your business. It could be that you are stand alone, if could that you are the most senior.  Whether you are starting your career or at the top, I offer support, a place to bounce ideas and find solutions in a safe space. Whilst we offer HR packages we also drop in to support HR Teams as and when required and this is what we did for Darwin College.   Darwin is a beautiful college and part of Cambridge University and we were able to complete a rapid yet deep investigation into some areas that were causing concern.  By applying 25 years of HR experience both in the corporate and public sectors and using all the skills developed over time we were quickly able to build relationships with individuals to enable us to establish the facts. A full report was compiled and verbal debrief provided for the client to enable the concerns to be addressed and risk to be minimised.  We aim to provide timely solutions for our clients and its great to know that Darwin College will call on us again as and when required! #solutionfocussed #hradhoc #comejointhehive #investigation #timebound
